New Grower First Grow, Short Rider, 400W

Hey Slow2Gro, I love your setup and everything you got going on! Great job.
I personally wouldn't cut off the poor girls' leaves. The plants need them to collect all the light that they can to be able to produce them pretty flowers you're after. Your plants are going to start getting bigger and wider and "airier" real soon. Then, before you give in to the temptation to cut off her leaves, consider tucking and moving your leaves around to get more light to the places you feel might need it.

nicely said Noobs!!

your grow is looking great Slow2Gro!nice job.

It will show problems regardless of using hps, if there showing sex i would put them under just at a further distance to begin with

Well I think one of them (the bigger bushier one with a few problems) is starting to flower. I could see some white hairs (Pistils?) coming out. They are still small, but I'm pretty sure that's what they are.
So I need to get to work on the Screen when I have a chance and put them under the HPS. I also need to germ. some Photo. Seeds.
There's just not going to be hardly any room in there to move around when I get the screen up, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do about that.
When it's up I really won't be able to get to any plants under the T5's.

Also I moved my vegging area around to give more room for the screen. I'll have to take more pictures when I have screen finished.

Little bit of an Update

Well I moved my veg. station/area around. Gives me a bit more room in there.

I'm still debating whether I want to ScrOG now or just wait. I'd like too, but I'm having issues on how I'd reach veg. area and having the plants so far away from the HPS light.
They both have some Pistils showing (those are what the small white hairs are called right?), so I'm eager to put them under the HPS, but I wasn't sure if I should just wait for the Pistils to get bigger/longer first.

I'm probably going to start germing some more seeds though and just LST them when they're big enough. They are a cross of Killer Super Blueberry and some Outdoor strain, so I'm not sure how tall they'll be.

Then I may take some cutting from the best looking one of those and do some clones that I'll ScrOG. But really I'm unsure, unsure of what I'm going to do and unsure of myself with taking clones and doing a ScrOG.

Well here's how they are looking. Also next time I plan on filling the bags more full of soil.

These are on Day 24

Well I put them under the HPS yesterday at about 8" below light and temp at the top of the plants is 80°.
We'll see how they do under the HPS. The pistils are getting bigger and when I use my Loupe I can see some nice resiny thrichs (?) starting on my leaves.

Oh yeah I also started germing 8 Photo Seeds of Some Ontario Outdoor Strain x Super Killer Blueberry.

Update Day 27

Day 27
Having some Nute burn issues, but getting them worked out (hopefully). I gave them a flush today to help them out.
Besides that they seem to be growing good. They are under the HPS light and I started (8) more seeds (non-auto) yesterday. Germed 8 and all 8 had nice tails coming out in about 36 hours. All 8 in Jiffy pellets now.

The 2 SR are about 9"-10" away from light with a temp of about 79-81° at tops (gets alittle warmer in there when I'm in there though).

Here are some Pics at Day 27

Not alot of room in there to work, but I'm making it work.
I'll probably have to build a ScrOG for the 8 seedling, I really have no idea how big they'll get.

they'er looking great bro!

Update Day 32

Day 32

Plants seem to be doing ok even with the problems.
I sprayed the leaves yesterday and today with an Epsom/Water solution and put 1.5 tsp of Epsom per gallon of water and watered them today.
I also swapped places on my 2 SR, not sure if it helps, but just did it cause when I watered them.

They are budding now (think that's what it is, or maybe just positive thinking).
Quite a few bud areas are overshadowed by leaves and I'm forcing myself to not clip the leaves off.

My (8) OO x KSB are doing ok, 1 of them is looking good, 3 of them the leaves are turning yellow and they others aren't doing much. But honestly I'm not too worried about those, maybe cause they are still so small and I'm more worried about my SR's.

I have a question. Not about my Short Riders.
The OO x KSB (non-auto) I'm growing them in 18oz cups and my question is if I keep them in there for awhile will it stunt/slow their growth, or kill them?
I'm asking cause I would like to slow their growth so they don't get too big before I harvest my SR's and switch the light schedule.

Also my SR are still looking sick, but not sure what to do. I've sprayed them down about 4 times with a Epsom solution and the last watering I added 1 tbs of Epsom per gallon of water, the time before that I added 1.5 tsp per gallon.
The tips are still yellow and curling down, but I have noticed they are not so yellow in between the veins on leaves. Still have yellow and orange spots though.
