Hey guys first time grower, running 600W hps and rdwc, I'm in a 1x1x2 meter tent, had alot of issues building the rdwc tried silicon still had leaks ended up using epoxy resin and bulk heads wrapped in plumbers tape.
First problem i had was heat and to solve that I bought a portable a/c and have connected ducting and ran it straight into the tent. Temps now sit at about 28-29. Need to buy some little clip on fans to move it around better.
Then we got root rot we are treating it with peroxide and a water chiller that doesn't quite cut it. Water temps hover around 22-24. Have been using GH trio nutes we keep the ppm around 900 at the moment and the ph between 5.5 -5.8
After that the fan broke so i upgraded to a 150mm can fan and a decent carbon filter which works amazing!!
The seeds were put in a cup of Ph'd water after about 18 hours all 4 seeds cracked and sprouted a little white tap root then placed it in jiffy peat it germinated and after a few days placed it in the rdwc system! After a week i had 4 little seedlings after 2 weeks we had 3 good growing seedlings and 1 retard so germinated another seed.
At the 3rd node I topped both white widows and one seemed to flourish and the other kind slowed right down but has caught up during the stretch faze of the grow cycle, both white widows have been fairly easy to grow and quite hardy. The one that has flourished has quite alot of bud sites so I'm curious to see just how much yield I will get from the white widows. They have been topped and a accidental super crop of the main stem at about 2 weeks when attempting my first ever lst (which I think has worked quite well) I untied it and it stood back up but created a bulge at the base of my plant. They have both had general trimming and lst training as they have gotten older.
The Purple Ryder were a different matter. First I had the retard (just threw in a pot of soil with some perlite, it's still alive I'll be surprised if I get half a joint out of it lol) the other ryder was the first plant to get root rot and suffered for it and was stunted I managed to save it and it kinda bounced back but it's clearly suffered. It's has begun budding nicely yet still a small plant. (Not sure if PR is a small plant) the replacement seed is about 2 weeks behind and was also topped at the 3rd node and is already close to as large as the stunted one, can't wait to see it fully grown.
Not really sure what else to say... Any questions ask away... cheers for reading.
P.s not sure if pics are working properly... cheers
