New Grower First Grow - Northern Lights/Pineapple Express/Sweet Tooth (Autos)

The bigger one in the back looks more like the photo I posted the other day. They definitely look bigger, but regardless you're the best to judge. Which strains are which in hte top left photo?

Yea it does kinda look like the pic you posted. Gives me some hope!

In the top left photo - Left is pineapple express, middle is Northern lights (vision seeds) and right is sweet tooth. Both the sweet tooth and PE are from barney

I'd say you have a lot more going for you than hope you're only 23 days in and while they may look a little small there is no telling at which point in the grow they're going to have a growth spurt. Another point is the less they do random dashes for the ceiling the more tight your internode spacing will be. TLDR they're doing well and you should try to temper your fear with some faith that everything will work out in the end. Worst case scenario if they stay on their current trajectory is that you'll get a small reduction in yield. Anyway, good luck and stay the course and all will be fine!

Thanks a lot medi.

I also didn't know that short node spacing was good. I'm going to go look at your plant porn for the 3rd time! I will have faith!

Short nodes are good so that you're not expending energy growing a bunch of stem. When the nodes are tight it'll just be stacked nugs rather than 2 inch bud - 6 inches of stem - 2 inch bud -8 inches of stem, etc.

Ahh that makes a lot of sense. Thanks for schooling me man.

I'm still new to growing myself, Freiya, but from what I've read on here, and from all the different journals I've looked at, you may just be stressing yourself out a bit. The plants look good to me, and as Medi mentioned, you don't know when their growth spurts are gonna start. It's not about where you start out, but where you end up. Keep giving those lil cuties lots of love, and I'm sure they'll give you plenty of icky sticky, potent buds. Now, I gotta get back to stressing too much over my lil lady!

lol it's because I sit here and read these forums all day looking at other people grows. Then I get to comparing and shit and it's just like blah!!. I've been trying to limit the amount of times I open my tent now though. I don't even want to look at the plants! only when I wake up in the morning.

I feel like it's a lot better that way too as I can actually notice growth a lot easier. Compared to when I'm looking in on them every 2 hours.

I know one thing though, after seeing medi's pics I've stopped stressing. Mine don't look much worse than his at around this time and his plant turned into a monster. I can't wait to see what I have in 2-3 more weeks.

Trust me when I say, I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND what you're sayin'! I'm just barely getting over having to open up the cabinet every hour or two hours, trying to spot new growth, or finding imaginary problems! Then, I go look at Media's journal, or Trapper's, and I'm like, WTF am I doing wrong here?! Especially when they state it's their first grow! I'm still panicky about most everything, and me telling you to chill is a bit hilarious when I really think about it, but I'm slowly learning to dial it back a bit. Now, I look at my plant the instant my eyes crack open in the morning, a couple times during the day, and one last check before bed. We just gotta be eazy, have some patience, keep asking questions, and we'll be aaiight!

To be fair, it's my first auto grow, and my first professional genetics, real grow lights, etc. grow. I'd only ever used bag seed and whatever fluorescent I had laying around, and ultimately grew ugly, sick, sad monstrosities.
