I'd say you have a lot more going for you than hope you're only 23 days in and while they may look a little small there is no telling at which point in the grow they're going to have a growth spurt. Another point is the less they do random dashes for the ceiling the more tight your internode spacing will be. TLDR they're doing well and you should try to temper your fear with some faith that everything will work out in the end. Worst case scenario if they stay on their current trajectory is that you'll get a small reduction in yield. Anyway, good luck and stay the course and all will be fine!
Short nodes are good so that you're not expending energy growing a bunch of stem. When the nodes are tight it'll just be stacked nugs rather than 2 inch bud - 6 inches of stem - 2 inch bud -8 inches of stem, etc.
I'm still new to growing myself, Freiya, but from what I've read on here, and from all the different journals I've looked at, you may just be stressing yourself out a bit. The plants look good to me, and as Medi mentioned, you don't know when their growth spurts are gonna start. It's not about where you start out, but where you end up. Keep giving those lil cuties lots of love, and I'm sure they'll give you plenty of icky sticky, potent buds. Now, I gotta get back to stressing too much over my lil lady!
lol it's because I sit here and read these forums all day looking at other people grows. Then I get to comparing and shit and it's just like blah!!. I've been trying to limit the amount of times I open my tent now though. I don't even want to look at the plants! only when I wake up in the morning.
I feel like it's a lot better that way too as I can actually notice growth a lot easier. Compared to when I'm looking in on them every 2 hours.
I know one thing though, after seeing medi's pics I've stopped stressing. Mine don't look much worse than his at around this time and his plant turned into a monster. I can't wait to see what I have in 2-3 more weeks.
