New Grower First Grow - Mephisto Sour Crack

Are you creating negative pressure? They look good.
Alright, I may need to use another lifeline here ha. So I got home today to a smelly house, this girl is starting to stink! I have a 4" fan and filter in my box on a variac at about 50%, is that too low? Any other reasons I could be getting such a strong smell throughout the house?

I guess the smelliness is a good thing? Meaning she's bouncing back from the previous issue! (Thanks again Med)

No worries bro. Smell is a good thing. Not much you can do except turn up the fan. All plants are different. Some smell a lot, some not so much.
Keep it going. She is going to stink even more as she fattens up.

All is good now! Feeling really good tonight after getting the filter fixed (had a hole in the duct, replaced and all is well) and seeing & smelling her doing so much better. She stinks like a sweet, sour dish rag in the best way lmao. Fattening up a little bit too, might be able to salvage her a little bit.

For sure man! Don't forget. This is a weed, and it's hard to kill it. Some of my favorite strains have the sour diesel lineage. You will really like the flavor it gives the herb and the early head buzz it gives you:headbang:

Alright, posting updates has proven difficult for me lately, life has been busy. According to Mephisto, my girl should be done within the next 10 days. She's looking great and really fattening up! Here's a trich shot I took last night, I'm barely even seeing cloudy heads, so we will see. Also, I started the flush last night as well, hoping it's not too early, any feedback is greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Those timelines they give us are just guides. I just had one 75 day plant go 85 days and her sister went 124 days. I always tell people. Use the guides as just that, but you still have to "grow the plant in front of you". Which means you have to understand by looking at her, where she is in the process, and what she might need. That is where experience and learning from great growers here can help us all become great growers in a shorter time frame. Thank god for AFN!

She looks good. Ventilation all good? Ph under control, and nutes good? If so, keep going and wait just a touch longer. Probably needs another two weeks at least.

Med, what's up man?! Yeah I figured that was the case, the 55-60 days must be best case scenario. I have the patience, and enjoy hanging out with her and her little sister everyday ha.

All is well in the grow, temps and RH are solid, no swings whatsoever. After the last issue you helped me with, all growth since looks awesome, just had to dial the nutes back quite a bit.

I have a predicament maybe you can help me with. When it comes time to dry, I'm at a loss. I have a two week old girl in the cabinet with her and due to smell wanted to dry in the cabinet itself, but since the younger girl is in there, I can't have lights off. Any tips or tricks?

Yep, no problem. Cut the buds down enough at harvest and put them into brown paper bags. They will keep out any light and allow buds to dry. Takes up to four or five days depending on the environment and how small you trim the buds down. It is better to leave a little stem there just so they dry out a little slower.
Buds need to feel a little crispy the first time. Then you jar them up and start during the cure. Open every day for at least an hour the first week. Open daily for a few minutes the second week, and then for the next two weeks, check them daily and see if they need opening. If the buds start to feel soft again, burp them again until you see they are stable. Then you need the boveda or integrate packs to keep them fresh.
