End week 4

Hey, Kamko here with an update on my little ryder. if anyone saw my last post than you will know I started to supplement Co2 into this grow, and if this online calculator is correct than I have been injecting about 2000ppm every 3 hours. My temps are 95F and humidity is a little below 60%. now I only run the Co2 late at night and in the early morning hours when the plant just wakes up. This seems to work for some reason, and If ran all day I see no difference in growth. in fact The most noticeable difference is when I run Co2 in the early morning hours. but enough talk heres some pix.

She's defiantly in pre-flower:D

I noticed a few days back that something was wrong though and I figured it to be a cal deficiency

I waited till she was somewhat dry than gave her a watering with garden lime i ground to power and some hygrozome. I kept the hygrozome in a small res from the last time i watered and im not sure if that has anything to do with it, but I phd to 6.5 and also did a folier spray. the only trouble is when I measured the ph of my runoff i got a reading of 5.9. I think I put to much ph down in the mixture but there could be another reason. im confused as to why my meter would read 6.5 but then it reads the runoff as 5.9. very curious to me:confused:. please help this idiot with his first baby before she make wispy shitty buds, or maybe none at all.

As always AFN :toke::toke: pass..

Im thinking it is actually a phosphorous deficiency, so I watered a little more with miracle grow all purpose fertilizer 24-8-14 and a little bit of molasses. hopefully this works. Who knows when I will see this plant recover as it is pretty damaged?

If you're feeding at 6.5 and run off is 5.9 that indicates that your soil pH is too low. The lime you added should help bring it back up, just know that garden lime is slow acting so it may take a week or so before you see a difference. What you are seeing is probably a nutrient lockout situation being caused by the low soil pH. Adding more nutrients won't help, in fact could hurt. I would give them plain, pHed water the next feeding and check the run off again. It should be coming back up by then.

Also, when posting pictures about plant problems, please take them in natural light. It's hard to see the true colors when under the LEDs.

Well. Muddy you were right the lime has taken effect and its been about a week, ph is up to 6.6. vegitive growth has not completely stopped but I watered today with an organic

bloom mix. 1 tablespoon bone meal, 1 teaspoon molasses, 1 tablespoon bat guano, and 1 teaspoon seaweed powder 7.0 ph no adjustment. This was a full strength feeding and I can

already tell I over fertilized.....:mad: (best emoticon as theres not one for head in hand). the tips of the newer leaves look burnt but you guys will have a better idea on Sunday

another pic update and believe you me shes a beautiful young lady. I also got the temp problems under control. New fan and have my carbon filter hooked up so no stank :thumbs:.

All lights on and temps hover around 79.8-80F pretty cool. Co2 enrichment from 9pm to 2am 2:30 hour increments *lights out* than enrichment starts back up at 6am till 8am. I have fans to

move the gas around and the exhaust fan turns off bringing temps to 93%. only problem is humidly falls when temps go up to about 44% which is no good, kinda makes me mad but hey... I

have said enough for now and ill be sure to have some good stuff for ya'll sunday and as always AFN

:toke::toke: pass...

Glad to hear you're getting the pH in check. If it's up to 6.6 and you're feeding at 7, it may continue to go up and end up being too high. I would adjust your feeds to around 6.3 - 6.5 to keep it in the proper range. Also, I wouldn't feed the bone meal. Like lime, bone meal is slow acting and if used, is usually mixed in with the soil before planting. Using it as part of your normal feed, especially at that rate, could lead to over feeding problems once it starts to become effective. 44% humidity isn't too bad, I wouldn't be concerned about it unless it goes low and stays there.

End week 5

Yoo, kamko here with another weekly update.

So as I stated in my last post I got a new fan and attached my DIY carbon filter aswell thus solving both the smell and temperature problems I was experiencing.

Heres the filter all hooked up.

okay...pictures can be deceiving so let me address some of the finer points that may have been overlooked.

if you look close in this pic you will see that the tips look burnt, and a stem is purple. Now im not sure what my temps are when the lights go out but they are pretty high right before, around 95F. The room im in has a temp of about 73F 75F at most. Just tested, soil ph is 6.4. so im not sure whats causing this problem. could it be P deficient? I put my sign off as my sig so ill just let that do the talking for me.

The plant looks very nice. The yellow tips look like a bit of nute burn. Not much though. Red stems can either be genetic, a lack of P or cold temps. I don't see any signs of a P deficiency and your temps certainly aren't too cold. Was that 95 degree temperature before or after you installed the new fan?

temps hit 95F when i enrich with Co2. enrichment starts at 9pm and goes till *lights out* but starts up again in the morning for a few hours and temps will be at 95F till the exhaust turns on at 8.

gets pretty stinky when the exhaust is off.

Okay, forgot your were using CO2.

haha if i wasn't this baby wouldn't look half as good as it dose. probably the only thing that saved me.
