New Grower First Grow- in 40 years

Just had a read through of your journal. Plants look good for a guy who hasn't grown in 40 years. Its like riding a bike I guess, once you learn you never forget. I'm gonna follow along if you don't mind. :smoking:

Thanks Brah! I have to come clean about the 40 years. That was the first serious grow and a group effort that got busted 1/2 way through. We built a gambrel style "auto repair shop" with a full second floor and a green house that wrapped 2 sides. This was in New England=cold. We had water towers with carp living. The towers were joined by plumbing that went to the 2nd floor grow room as well as regular vegetables in the green house. This supplied nutrients, air and water to the hydroponic system as well as keeping the place toasty in the cold weather. Unfortunately the owner got busted for something else and the marshalls seized all his properties. Too bad cause this had great promise.
Any other grows were the young hippie type stick some skunk weed seeds in peat pots and stick em outside---FAIL! So really this is first serious grow I'm taking to completion- whatever that may be

Looks like the girls need another round of trim & train. Damn, once I start studioB up this is gonna be like a fulltime job. That's ok. If you do what you love you'll never work a day in your life. I've been pretty lucky with that.

Mid 8th week. I've trimmed these twice since the last pics and they are just going gazonkerz. I haven't been able to keep up. Seeing budlings coming in. They need another trim and I'm not sure at this point how to proceed. Even though they are getting big, don't trim the fan leaves in the bud area until buds have grown more? Take out all the small stuff below? I cooked and baked professionally for a few years on ships and do have an interest in edibles so I'm not rally concerned about popcorn buds-as long as they aren't stealing anything from the main ones.

haha, indicaz do like to get bushy, don't they  but ya dan, ur formula is basically correct  personally, i trim like crazy from about day 20 or so, lol, but that'z jus me :rolleyes2: all the lower leavez & subsequent fanz serve no purpose, except for lookin pretty, lol...all they do is get in the way of light for new growth, and airflow for the plant in general...not to mention, especially at the point ur girlz are at, that the less leavez they have = that much more energy they can devote solely to bud production  ppp

The only thing is these are supposed to be 70% sativa. I was expecting these tall stringy things with a lot of space in em. These are growing right on top of each other. I cut small stuff off and another set starts growing back.

ooopz :rolleyes2: me forgot ur growin the sour d, lol...but i dunno, me know indicaz, and thoze leavez def look indica dominant to me...what'z weird tho is it'z all of em, not jus one pheno "freak", hmmm.....well, either way, they're def lookin lush, and hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it, eh-? ;) ppp
