Grow Mediums First Grow - Hydro/DWC Training SCROG w/ Bagseed Photos

Way to go! Yes a pump make life SO much easier. I got a 500 GPH pump from ebay. I fill my bathtub, then pump from there to my storage/tempering res. I also us it to empty the res when i change it, and to fill it again. so much nicer than hauling 20 gallons or more by bucket!
I made an adapter to connect a garden hose for filling the storage res, and to pump out the plants res(s). I have a 10' vinyl hose that I fill the res with. Be sure to flush your hoses after pumping water with nutes thru them, or you'll find nasty stuff growing in them....lol!

Bushy hell! It's a damned shrubbery!

Day 124 and over 60 days in bloom! Holy shit! "uuuuggghhhh.."

Better today. The thin frost is fairly widespread now (FINALLY!!!) and the limbs are getting heavier as more are starting to "roll over". Most of the progression is in the inner and lower buds. I've strung up the latest lazy offenders  and added nearly 2 more gallons back to the rez. This amount has become the daily norm now.

Boy, does she love the nutes! Guess she's making up for lost time! After the last rez change, I set the nutes at 1460 ppm. She used 100 the first day then 300! Due to the severe fluctuation in the pH from 6.1 down to 5.2 in one day, I've upped the calcium (calmag) that way she gets enough before the pH falls out of range and locks it out. Today she got 5 ml Micro, 10 ml Bloom, 10 ml KoolBloom, and 20 ml Calmag. Most of the large fans show calmag def; old and new. A lot have fallen off now.

Sorry, the pix don't show how loaded she really is. Under all that sugar leaf is a shit load of buds! The tops still suck, tho!!! No Cactus Colas for me, I guess! :dunno:

Looking good I think bro! Looks like she may have to go a while yet. I have learned with growing photos indoors the last few months that it is certanly worth not chopping before the flowers are mature. Just went through that with some of my Black Berry Kushs. Had to take many of them too early, the remainder I was able to let go for approximately 75 dayish. Huge difference in the weight of the flowers. I have read, but certainly don't have the personal experience yet, to back it up. Sounds like the last 2 weeks is when a vast amount of filling out/maturing occurs.

Nothing like medicating with meds that you grew yourself.

Be well, my brother.

Peace

Hey Brother Stick!

Yeah, she's a bit funky isn't she? I need to get a better camera. It's hard to tell what's underneath all the foliage. She's loaded with buds, but I'll bet she has another month in her! She's just now starting to show widespread frost, but it's too light yet. No axe for her until she's ready, unless she stalls out completely. Getting tired of the "stop and start", back and forth thing. The top colas probably won't be developed.
:ama:
I need amber trichs to do the job properly. She comes out of the weed I'm smoking right now. It's grown as clones in hydro and is not very strong. Easy to get tolerance. Probably cut too early, considering it's only $30 a half "oh-zee". I've got to push her til she completely finishes. I just wish she'd hurry up! I'm running out of meds and it'll be June before I can get anymore. So it's Miz Dubya or bust!

Bushy hell! It's a damned shrubbery!

Just a quick update. Strung up some more limbs yesterday and had to crawl in underneath to get lines on limbs in the back. I came out sticky and smelling like a skunky pine tree! She's loading up with resin! Due to persistent radiated heat in the top I've cut the power down from 800w to 600w just to see what will happen. It's weird that the shaded stuff in the lower half is doing so much better than the top, so lets see what happens with this little experiment.

Quick update.
She' finally stopped acting squirrely and is back to filling in buds. It seems the heat in the upper part of the tent has some fault in all this. Now that I've cut back the HID light from 800w total to 600w (don't you just love dimmable ballasts?), the tops have started to fill in more. That was weird, but I get it. I've targeted a "sample" that I'm going to cut as soon as the frost thickens a bit more.

sounds like you had some light burn going on, they can get too much light! Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing the final results on this one! Glad she's turned around for you! :Sharing One:

Hey Pop!
Thanks for the reps, Bro!

Yeah, it was a bit strange. The heat wasn't all that bad in the top of the tent, but the sugar leaves stayed kinda curled up and were a bit "leathery" with some blistering (thickened spots) but no discoloration. I noticed this before when she was in veg and the lights were too close. The heat didn't FEEL that bad, but she didn't like it and she improved once the lights were raised a few more inches to 24. I guess she's just sensitive! But since the light height is maxed now, all I can do is dial it down. She showed improvement almost immediately! She's still sucking water like a damn fish but now she's taking nutes again and she likes it hot! Last feed was at 1610 ppm (extra calmag) on the 15th and now after cutting back the power on the 17th, she's down to 1240 ppm and setting blooms. I've also started upping the pH to around 6.0-6.1 as she seems to like it better.

Gonna cut me another little "taste" today! I'll update with a pic shortly.

I wonder if there is a way to "push" her to finish? Probably not...
