THE SEARCH FOR MIZ DUBYA
(We've gone Bushy!)

Bushy hell! It's a damned shrubbery!

Not much going on. She's still setting flowers, but soooooo sloooooowwww. The samples I cut came out very nice even though it wasn't completely dried yet. Nice head buzz that works into a nice body buzz. The taste is VERY earthy and hashy. Like the Lebanese Blonde we used to get back in the day. Buzz seems about the same too. SO...I cut another "little" sample from the bottom!
:coffee2:
I haven't seen any other changes except a few pistils here and there are starting to brown on the tips. Hopefully, it's a sign of winding down soon. I'm really thinking of lopping the main top off. It's all sugar leaves, very little bud, and it's not getting much better. Weird ass plant. All the goods are in the lower limbs.

No pics, nothing really new to see.

Decisions, decisions...

Awright folks! I'm going to post this in here and in the general forum (cuz very few read the grow). I have a decision to make and I like as many opinions from the peeps here as I can get. For the folks that follow this, well, you already know.
:tiphat:

I have a weird plant I'm debating on either giving the full chop or a partial soon.

Here's the scoop:
Unknown bagseed photo strain in DWC bucket
4x4x7 Lighthouse
800w HPS (2x400) and 120w BS HO LED (half of a 240)
Day 133
Bloom Day 71

This plant has done some really funky stuff during her life so far. Two periods of stretch after switching to bloom with a long period in between has caused 2 sets of blooms. The (now) inner portion of the plant has the original stretch and bloom set are nearing finish. The pistils are now rapidly browning all over and curling up. What frost there is...well, isn't much but it's turning. After the first stretch and bloom set was well under way, something happened and she "paused" for several days and filled up the DWC bucket with roots. After that came a second stretch for several days and all the affected tops branched all over making this big "hairball" of growth on the end of each limb. A second bloom started on nearly ALL the growth on the tops after this happened but are very thinly set so far (but are growing). YES, the main cola is hosed. I'll post a pic below but it's not very good image, but you'll get the idea.

Of course, a full chop is self-explanatory, but here's what I'd like to do...
Give her 48 hours of dark to push the resin and start nipping out the good stuff that's ready from lower down the limbs and inside and continue as they are ready leaving the "hairballs" on 12/12 to develop afterward. Did you notice this is completely backwards from normal? Normally we take the tops and leave the under growth for a second chop, but this thing went completely ass-backwards.

Here she is...

So what do you think? What's the best way to work this?

Thanks!

I just decarbed a sample in the oven for a quick taste. Of course it was a bit rough, but it's all about the buzz.
OH YEAH! Very nice! Light head then blends into a heavy body and lasts a while.

To me, that solves your dilemma brother. If she were mine I would go for the 'partial' chop.

Peace!

She must have heard me talkin' bad about her! "Stirring"

I open up this evening and I'm seeing the frost has started coming on again and more pistils browned over. I won't start the dark cycle until Thursday and clipping on Saturday. By then, most of the plant will be ready (enough). Won't be anything left except the very ends of all the limbs.

Holy Shit! She'll be a POODLE!!!

Bushy hell! It's a damned shrubbery!

One more week to go before the first round of chop, pending her stay of execution review, of course! More new flowers packing on fast in the "hairballs" on the ends of the branches. More brown pistils and frost on the more advanced buds. Decided against a res change until after the chop as she'll need a slightly different blend of additives until she can de-stress and start running again.

More pics!

Stick: Thx, Bro! The partial chop it will be! The very bottom and inside are near ready now, but figured an extra week is better to push the trichs toward amber more. She's got a good solid body stone now per the last sample. The first was about a week ago, I believe, and it was mostly head. This last one put me on the couch. Real sneaky too. All nice and relaxed, nice head buzz, not even sleepy, then WHAM!...lights out! Next thing you know it's 4 am.
"uuuuggghhhh.."

Thanks Pop! I appreciate it! Just pray she doesn't slow down or stop again!

Hey brother, looks like you should get plenty of meds off of her.
I have only been growing myself for exactly one year, but have grown out a lot of both photo and auto strains in that short time.
For me as a novice grower, I can see just how important it is to grow tried and true genetics as we learn.

Peace!
