What's up fellow growers? Just stopping by with a week five update. Preflower started this week for both plants. Everything has been easy sailing. The soil PH issue that I was experiencing last week has been resolved. I decided to raise the PH of my water/nutrients to 6.8-6.9 which caused my runoff to bounce from 5.8 to 6.5. Lights have been slowly lowered to about 18 inches above the canopy. I will continue to lower them until they begin showing light stress. I'm excited about the number of tops I've got so far and that I'm close to completely filling the tent/not wasting tent real estate. Next feeding I'm going to lower the Mega Crop by 0.5g/gal while adding 1.5g/gal of Bud Explosion.

Nice going.
Plants are looking nice an healthy.
Looks like a touch of canoeing is starting on the top leaves, so you might want to raise the lights a few inches...

Hi Bro, looking good in there... Not anything I would worry about at this stage.

Leaf canoeing (cupping) can also be a sign of too much air flow over the affected leaf area (especially if combined with too much heat/light), the leaf edges tend to curl upward slightly to shield and protect the leaf/plant from excessive evaporation.

Often just a slight re-positioning of a fan/lights will cure it. (Note:- Not to be confused with leaf praying - that's a good thing).
.
Some plants/strains are more sensitive than others, however, most plants will grow through mild cupping without problems - even though the curled leaves are likely to stay like that for the remainder of the grow.

I run most of my grows in the high temp end of the scale and have seen it often - It used to freak me out. But, from what I see, yours is a very mild case at present, not that bad at all, and as I already said, nothing I would be overly concerned about at this stage.

Just keep an eye on it for now, and make sure it doesn't develop further.

Good luck, I am sure everything will be just fine.

Thanks for swinging by. I'll definitely raise them a few inches. Would hate to stress them out unnecessarily.

Thanks for your input. When you say, "this stage", what stage would you most worry about it at? The tent's temperature, RH, and airflow are not out of control by any measure, so I wouldn't be surprised if it is the lights causing the canoeing. I'll definitely raise my cobs up.

Awesome grow man...coming along for the journey :smokeout:

Looking good in here, gonna ride along and hope to gain a bit of knowledge, and watch what harvest will provide you. Good Luck!

What's up you all!? As the title states, this is my first grow and I am pretty excited to get it underway. Before starting I made sure to do as much research as possible in order to mitigate otherwise easily avoidable mistakes. Sooooo this is what I've got in the making:

2'x2.5'x5' Gorilla grow tent
1 3500k Autocob
2 3gal Pots

As for seeds, I'll be running two Northern Lights Autos from Seedsman in Roots Organics Soil. I decided to go with GreenLeaf Nutrients so I'll be using: MegaCrop, Sweet Candy, Bud Explosion, and Cal-Mag.

As of today, my seeds popped and I just placed them in the soil!
@SoulMan_PeeWee , good luck with your grow, you are at the right place to learn, my friend.
Plenty of excellent and very friendly ,knowledgeable folks here on AFN, that will be glad to help you, should you need any help.
I'm sure you will do fine.
I've grown several NLAUTO s before, but mine came from Nirvana, but they are great plants to start with, plus the ones I grew ,got huge, and had fine buds, but it sure wasn't me, that got them big.
They did that all by themselves, with a little help from KindSoil.
But good luck, and have fun.

Nice to have you riding along! I'm a little past six weeks so hopefully, I'll be chopping the trees down in within a month or so.
