Yes this is my only light. It's a 2000 kingplus so I figured the one should cut it in my 3X3 tent. Not a massive operation by any means. I sure hope that this light does well in my setting. So since you literally have experience with this brand of lights how did you measure your distance from plant to light during the different stages of growth.
Pretty much went off the papers that came with it... 18-24" is the sweet spot for those lights.

I can't run this light that close they would get roasted. It's recommended at 30 inches for seedlings because par level is at 380 and diminishing as it goes outwards naturally. I'm starting a little high till they pop out of their shells and start stretching a bit for the light and then I will slowly go down about an inch or two a day until I hit solid veg state, as recommended by someone here. This isn't as blurple as other lights. It's got more of those colors in between on the scale so it's a very very bright blue, not white persay, but it's definitely not blurple like most would be used to seeing.

Sorry man I misread that

running 12-24  i run 19/5 just to be odd :eyebrows:
ive had 2 lights that had veg/bloom switches,it was full blurt from the go,and if they had a dial it would be turned to 11 aswell  most people run lights/fans/extraction etc. full blast from the start like before plants,so they can monitor and dial in temp and humidity highs/lows and averages. light height again follow manufacturers guidelines, but dont be scarred to experiment a lil bit.
my old light could have happy seedlings at 50cm and wouldnt burn a flowering plant at 25cms.new light burns the shite out of a seedling at 50cm,it needs 75cm  i was told, but eejits have to find these things out for themselves :haha:
good luck n keep er lit
:pighug:

Ok so I already have a question that I hope someone can answer. I have the light at 38in from top of pots. I am only running the veg switch, blue light mostly. Should I run it closer because half the LEDS are off, the bloom switch ones with red and IR?
@Damien50 the light man!
All right GrowBro, no worries about questions (damn this guy already asking questions, he just started, lol JOKING):bighug:. It’s all cool, but a good question with a good lesson. 18-24 is a very good rule of thumb, but keep an eye on ur little ones.
If they start stretching really fast light might be to far, if they are to close, they can burn.

Would you recommend closer than further to start because I have them at 38in now because I'm scared of roasting them. I would rather they start to stretch and then adjust light because that's fixable but a roasted plant... Not so much! I want to play it safe because I am a worrier! If you think 38 is way too high I can drop em down. I originally had them at 30in but decided that I wanted to play it safe, but I really don't want them getting little chicken legs haha

That's funny you said that I honestly have been running 19-5 too  I got the environment dialed in on that schedule. It's sitting at ~75°f and ~ 65-75% RH all the time. I'm thinking I finally got her to the sweet spot and it's hanging out there.

:yay:LAh my second half didn’t post, lol. Just experiment with height. I would personally rather have a stretch than burn. But test it out, get to where you think is comfortable. And just try stuff out GrowBro. That’s one aspect of growing, get used to ur environment is a big thing. We all want you to succeed. But failures are awesome also!:haha:

Ya get to learn something. Your experience (I feel) is all you. Learn your environment, everyone’s is different. I am definitely not shutting you out, I will help you as much as I can and will definitely give advice. But we (AFN peeps) can only do so much.

Yessir and I appreciate it! I am just patiently waiting for the babes to pop up now. Hoping by tonight or tomorrow. Fingers crossed, and then I'll worry about the light height

Alright daily update time.

-75 ml RO water misted per plant in a tight circle to help main root drop quicker
~73°f
~63% RH
-Light distance 34 in. Dropped it down a bit and going to watch them closely when they pop

My seedlings haven't popped yet. Fingers crossed by tonight or tomorrow. My tomato plants were loving the light at 34in so I moved the light down a little closer to them, 34in for the white widows now is going to be my starting point for when they pop. Going to plant those tomatoes outside in the next day or two. Along with some blue lake green beans. First time running a garden either so this summer will be full of new things for me. Thinking about some peppers as well but we will see because I don't have a very big garden area in my backyard.

I'll keep you updated when the babes pop their head. Til then, later everyone and have a happy Saturday!:pass:
