New Grower First Grow - Dinafem Widow & Amnesia

Hello rolo...curing mmj its an art...seriously....it take allot of practise, allot of patients and reading.. ..i messed up like four batches by improper curing....drying to long, jaring up to soon resulting in mold.

Ive recently started using rh meters to do the work for me but also after doing it a few times i feel like i can "feel" when they are ready for cure. There is a thread i love reading in the dry cure section posted by JM i believe, describing in great detail step by step. I recommend tracking that thread down.

Which strain was the oil that knocked you
out?? Again, great harvest and congratulations. practising and soon you will be curing so good we will have to call you Dr. Rolo lol

It was the White Widow.

Now what I have done is thrown everything I am using for oil aside in a box and I turn the buds to air them a couple times a day.

One of the latest plants I have cut has retained its smell in the cardboard box. I think it comes down to the genetics of the plant/seed. I find it odd that I have grown 10 plants, 5 x ww and 5 x amnesia and every plant has come out different in appearance

Although several seeds are same genetics, they still express there selves threw different phenotypes which explains why they look different. Pheno hunting is really fun especially with photoperiods, you find that holy grail to keep forever and do your own crosses with it.. ..isn't growing fun as fuck ))

Sorry there has been no update.

Chopped the last plant that was ready in the tent, Not sure what the weight was as I have people working in my house for the next 1-2 weeks.

I have 2 plants outside (I put one from the tent that was 2-3 weeks behind the others outside to start the new grow) that are around 2-3 weeks from being ready - its strange these ones seem to be doing better not being fed as much. I think for the entire grow these two plants only had 1-2 nute feeds. In total I think I will have ended up with over 700-800g easily dry off this grow - I currently have around 400g dry waiting to be turned into oil and a further 800g drying currently with 2 more to chop that are outside.

I am very happy with this considering I am a newbie! Its funny because I had a aim of 300-400g and some people said this can't be done because its your first grow and you will never get more than 500-600g under a 600w light its impossible. I am glad I didn't listen to anyone and said ok I will prove you wrong! I wish I put a wager down lol

Yesterday I cleaned the tent and washed everything down. I had 7 photos in veg for the last 3 months (I kept topping them to keep them smaller).

So I picked the best 4 plants out of the 7 and trimmed them all down nice and repotted. I have gone for a scrog net grow this time. I want to try and get 1kg+ out of my second attempt with the scrog net. I think every time I grow now I will keep the tent to a maximum of 4 plants this way they will have nearly a 1m2 each.

Update:

Only two plants remain - they have around 2-3 weeks left and they look really good! They are outside. My 4 photos are doing nicely in the tent!

Weigh in:

So the buds have just been sitting in a bucket drying (Cracker Dry) waiting to be turned into golden treacle! So I decided to de stalk and have a weigh in.

Cracker Dry Weight - 450g De-stalked

I already used 60-80g dry for oil. And I have around 200-300g curing in jars! I would say definitely the final weight for this grow is 700-800g dry!

Very happy as this will give me around 60-80g of Oil medication!
