Indoor First Grow Attempt: 250w Dresser Stealth Soil Grow

  • Thread starter Thread starter StealthGrown

Cut 1 branch off each the AKR and HBD, trimmed em, and placed in the dry net in the closet with a little fan on them. Got some real sticky sugar leaves in an open jar from those 2. Cant wait for the next real sugar leaves hash experiment, instead of stems with some meat on the bones and leaves that barely had any trichs on em, after they're both entirely chopped.

And I threw some ice cubes on the soil under the AKR and HBD plants, hoping for more purple hues.

The hash on the pyrex glass has some scissor hash in it also. It tastes bad, but gets me very high, and tired. Only froze for half hour, I shook with 91% alcohol for 45 seconds (instead of 30 I should have done) and then pressure strained through a coffee filter.

Next round with hash within a couple weeks will be much better.

awsome bud bro looks tastey :)

Took a lot of pics of the Short Stuff Onyx, and here she is:
Help diagnosing would be wonderful. Appreciate it.

Shes got weak side stems, some tops of the stems are purple. One stem is very weak on the bottom. One leafs tip shriveled to bits. A couple little rust looking spots. But most importantly, the dark leafs that feel very moist and droopy. And there are a lot more calyxes now, I don't know why but these things freak me out. Shes still a female right? New top growth light green, almost yellow looking, but usually after that they go back to green. Temps have been awesome, humidity bad, and its gotten nutes once small small dose. The entire first grow I was feeding, then only pHed water, then feeding, then water... when I should have been feeding once and watering twice??

Your Onyx looks to me like you need water and some veggie nutes. Its definately still female though.

AKR is some great high but it also makes you sleepy right after the buzz starts to wear off is what I experience. Thats why I crossed mine with a AutoAssasin to try and cut down on that effect of a high power indica :)

I am still kinda weird out by your issues though. I checked my temps today at 83 and hunidity at 15% and I never really have the problems you are having. Can you put your temp guage between the plants by the tops of them and see what temp you are getting there? Maybe its something to do with the distance of the HPS but I wouldnt think so from the distance in your picture.

Thanks Scott! Tomorrow I will move the thermometer and place between the plants. She will also get some more veg/flower nutes tomorrow.

Good looking bud, Stealth. I've routinely had temps in the mid to high 80s and haven't had the issues you did.

Well shes looking pretty bad. Light green patches still there, plus some new nasty hard brown and gray stuff took over some leaf tips. Like the leafs just healthy, then the next day dying. If I look under the leaf with the HPS on, I can see the messed up leafs and looks like someone painted them from underneath, the ends are completely dark. Plant looks alright still, but soon I can see this getting bad. Stem tops are completely purple, some very weak and floppy. Whats up with her? Should she get a flush or is this a simple fix? Shes only gotten nutes twice as of last night, before that she was fine on only pHed water and FFOF soil.

Yesterday I moved the thermometer to the middle back of the dresser at the plants tops height. The temp was completely different. Had a high of 76 and low of 60 degrees. Usually when its on the right side where the fans blow the heat from the lights glass slide insert, it will hit 80 degrees easily (not that thats bad), but I only had the AC on 71-72 degrees in the room, yet she only hit 76-77 in the dresser says the thermometer in the middle. So they're probably purple-ing because Ive thought it was too hot in there and blasted the AC on 60 degrees every time the lights are on when the temp was probably fine. Thanks everyone, help appreciated.

Did you get them warmed up yet? How are they looking now? I would freak if my cabinet ran that cold. Thats a lot of difference between hi and lo.

Alright guys, internet went out for a day so I'm backed up with a lot of pictures from the past couple days and a ton of Onyx problems. I chopped the Afgan Kush Ryder completely yesterday. She was so small bud managed to put out some dense nugs. And some strong great scent came with her. The Himalaya Blue Diesel, I harvested both large-ish branches, so only the Christmas tree nug is left along with the Onyx in the dresser. HBD doesn't smell as strong as the AKR, but looks a tad better. More of a lighter frostier green. AKR seems harrier and darker and sweeter though.

The single branch off each I cut early have been curing and being smoked since 3 days after I cut them, total came out AKR 2.0 grams and HBD 2.6 grams dry plus 5-6 bong packs. Theres only about .5 of each left as of today, and they were both dried too long or fast because they're both a bit crunchy. Please check out the Onyx pictures also and tell me what you think. Only a month left yet shes not looking good at all. Help appreciated.

I read the drying/curing threads, but dont have a hygrometer small enough to fit into the glass jars. Any fool-proof way of curing with still sticky-ish buds? Dry for 3-5 days or until stems almost cracks, then jar the buds and burp 10 minutes a day or something for 3-4 weeks? Longer the cure the better, but I was smoking the first branches after only a day or 2 in the jars and it was killer. Little harsh, but killer taste and high. Thanks guys

Fed the Onyx, gave her some BMO veg and flower nutes. Runoff was 6.6-6.7 pH.

Pictures of some more nasty leaves, and Onyx. She looks good from far away, but in person not looking good. And a picture of the Himalaya Blue Diesel that will be finally fully chopped by Friday hopefully (waiting for more amber trichs). Will that feed take care of the potassium deficiency (black dots) or is something else needed?

And Im told boron or borax eye wash fixes and stops the nasty "boron" infected leaves. Is that right? What else can I use? I wouldn't know where to get that eye wash. Any body ever had this gray brittle "boron" deficiency issue??
