New Grower First grow, 2nd attempt..All are welcome to follow

@jumper114 The flood system is automated. I flood to about 50% of the pot height. I let it hold for about 15 min. Then I let drain pump kick in and back to the res the water goes. After I flooded today, PH went from 6.1 to 6.4. I will adjust before the next time I flush. Without sounding ignorant, why the Canna Rhizo and Buddah additives?

That is going to be too high of a flood absabs and coco retains moisture really well. 25-30% flood and I wouldn't do it twice a day or every day. They don't need to sit in the water for 15 minutes or at all.

Hell no !!!! Sitting in water? You are drowing them.

I have no experience with this system! Glad I said you should stuff it for now........ Stoner.... I am! ;-)

They want mega oxygenated feed!

Yeah he's doing flood and drain rather than drain to waste. It will oxygenate them but not like multiple dtw watering lol

No offence OP... all the gear......

Top feed and get them girls developed.

As you do check out the RDWC diaries etc.

Hopefully someone running your style will come along soon.

Keep it Simple IMO.......

Let me shed some clarity. I didnt let them sit in water soaking for 15 min. It took about 5 minutes to fill and about 10 to drain, give or take. I know what I posted. I was having a 420 moment. Honestly, I always wanted to learn how to grow and unfortunately, for various reasons I have to be self taught. All I have are the books I read, the internet, and this forum After my first failed attempt, I will be ok with just getting all the way to harvest without killing them. One day, maybe, just maybe I'll learn how to grow something I can submit to High Times bud of the month. :smoking:In comparison to the grows Ive looked at my girls already seem to be falling short, but again that could very well just be my untrained eye. Thank you again to everyone for all of your input. Please keep it coming. @Damien50 I plan on running the resevoir every other day or so until flower, then feed 2-3 times per day as I choose. Thoughts?

My current grow is in rockwool and I'm only flooding twice a week to 30% in flower . I would try 1-2 times a week to start.

You need to research coco coir and how it is in a flood and drain system especially since recirculation isn't something people like to recommend for coco. Less is more and you're growing in 5 gallon pots they hold more water.

On your feed rate aim for a .5 EC or 500ppm(research ppm conversion charts) and go from there. With flood and drain your feedings will be easier to judge like I mentioned earlier and your reservoir will tell you whether to increase or decrease your feed.

PH range for coco is 5.5-6.2 I like to let my initial ph be 5.5 and allow the PH to naturally rise and me lowering it when I do refills

@Damien50 Is it possible that my ppm of 140 is too low and they are hungry for more nutes, I just checked in on them and it looks like they are starting to go from light green to yellow, and unfortunately I lack the experience to know what to do. I will post some more pics tomorrow as its getting late where I am. For now I'm going to do nothing and let nature take its course. The only other thing I can think of is that I lowered the light 5' yesterday, but they are still 40' from the plant.:wall::wall::wall:

Try 500

@Damien50 Here are some pics from this morning. .5EC is 250 ppm(HANNA) on my meter ec_ppm_conversion_chart.png. Im at 140 now. I was going to let them dry out for a day before I mix and make a slightly stronger feed. I found this chart I was going to use. It was designed for ebb and flow recirc with GH nutes. Thoughts? Recirculating-Nutrient-Schedule-custom-sm.jpg They don't look like they are dying, but definitely fading and yellowing from the bottom up and new growth seems stunted. These girls are now starting Day 8.

Aim for 500ppm and just water them from above for now.

They look fine to me but they could be slower because of the pheno or the feed is inadequate.
