no worries ... you need it at 5.5 to 5.6 though ,not 6.0 .... just for the 1st 2-3 weeks .check as often as you can & adjust back to that range if its out ....Then after that, in week 4 you up it a bit to 5.7-5.8 but no higher than 5.8 .... then in flower your PH range is 5.8-6.0 . Remember those numbers & stay as close as you can to them & you should be good to gro :High 5:

I would just add a liter or two of PH 5.5 water to bring the PPM's down a bit (max 500)& keep that res going till you see an improvement :stylez rasta smoke::smokebuds:

Is it normal to ph balance to 5.5 and in 5 hours have the ph up to 6.5? I balance to 5.5 in the morning and when I get home from work it is between 6.5 to 7. I balance it back to 5.5 and by bed time it is back up to 6.0 to 6.5. Balance it then and do the same the next day. Will your source for your RO water do this? Seems like a lot of chemicals.

No its not normal dude ... RO water will do this I have heard from friends that use it .I think they buffer the water 1st with some cal mag (upto 50PPM) before adding the other nutes & this helps keep the PH stable ...The other thing may be a light leak but RO is more likely ... place a rag or something around the outside of the net pot to block any light getting through the sides just in case.:smokebuds:

I am doing my first two dwc and I'm using r/o water but as v said use some calmag and I don't have to much change in pH. After a day or two it goes from 5.8 to 6.1 or down to 5.5. Good luck with it it seems fun I am having a blast with it and seeing amazing results too.

:smokebuds:cool,glad I got that right .Those are exceptable swings that are easy to put right .usually just a drop or two from a syringe & your good for another 12 hours :smokebuds:

:dance2: Woo Hoo! Woke up this morning to 5.6 and 5.7. Just checked and there all at 5.8. Will adjust before bed. But tomorrow I change water. Hopefully using the cal/mag will help this time.

:High 5: good news mate .Hopefully you will see improvement very soon.... Let the cal mag mix really well before adding the rest .It doesn't mix well with other nutes :smokebuds:
