New Grower Finally after 5 year of waiting, decided it's time for a new Grow.

This is my next purchase for sure. Still using a $9 Amazon ph pen lol. Might even just buy it right now and get it over with.

Ya, I had the pH pen and tds pen set. Like $20 for both. Worked ok for the first grow since I was doing hydro but not the soil. I ended up getting the one that does soil and solution, just make sure you keep it wet when stored. $180 on Amazon unfortunately but I was off almost a full pH point so it was worth the cost to know.

I was lowering my pH every time unnecessarily. My water is just fine on its own lol

My $.02 ...Make sure you have a good pH meter. My crappy one caused me a lot of problems, even when I checked the calibration every time. Had issues pretty similar to yours. They will get worse before they get better, usually a week or so delay on symptoms. Don't let it discourage you!

pH issues cause a lot of nutrient problems.

I upgraded to a bluelab meter and it's pretty good

It's funny you should say that, as I'm having problems with my PH meter, not a cheap one either. It's an Apera one, have ordered another as I just can't be sure it is giving me the correct reading.

Hey @Don't Fear the Reefer thought i'd stop by haven't been over here in a while looking good looks better then my auto pots . just remember less is more with autos IMO. IF you do take leaves take a just a couple at a time and have a good reason.

Yep you guessed it, update time
Gelato Auto is looking rough, having just watered her with ph water for the last week and a half as recommended, she is looking worse by the day.
I succumbed and gave her a bloom and P-K heavy feed, 568ppm last night, will probably be the last feed I give her.
She is supposed to be a 8 week plant from veg to harvest so won't be too much more suffering for her.
She is getting 800 umols
Sorry to say I can't see her amounting to much, I'll be lucky to get an ounce out of her.
I'll put it down to beginner error and will try again, I have three more seeds.

Anyway here's some pictures, they come with a warning, not to be viewed by those easily offended.

Now onto the Fantasmo Express x Toof Decay, she is growing really well still stretching.
She might have a very slight nitrogen toxicity, so she will be onto a bloom feed next week.
Also will give her a defol.
Really happy with the way she is growing.
Mephisto Genetics doing good. Let's hope I can keep her growing well.
She was getting 650 umols last night but looks to have grown again towards the light, so will check again tomorrow.

I had some toasty results on my first couple runs do to PH problems ( i hope ) i had a cheap pen. I recently picked up a nice Pen expensive but nice and am looking forward to the results. BUT even the buds off the toasty plants turned out very good and stoney after the cure. Keep it up man nothing like good homegrown!!

Update time.
Gelato Auto had a haircut. Took nearly every leaf I could see off her, they were mostly dead or dying anyway.
Thought I would have a look at the buds, as I can see them now.
Here's a pic, I think she looks better.

Took at least two bowls off her. It's all about trying to get airflow and fatten the buds up now. Hopefully.
She's very sticky, not very frosty though.

I was wondering if she was light stressed as well as her other problems earlier.
So I lowered the light to around 650 umols, down from 800.
Now on the Fantasmo express x Toof Decay, she looks all right, not sure is she is light stressed too so lowered the light to around 650 umols
from around 800.

She is very frosty unlike her sister, shame it's not captured in the picture.
I will give her a defol later in the week.

Both watered to runoff at 6.3 ph.
