Finally! A Science base Decarboxylation of Cannabis!

I think pop22 mentioned the stone he always has good ideas. So I now have done some research I get the right temp for the right time and I have the optimum thc then I go and reck everything by cooking with it adding more time and temp oh well

LONG, LONG have I looked for this! NOW we can get closer to best decarb of our meds. And it boils down to this:
230F for 110 minutes! ( 110C for 110 minutes )

Now, we with most home methods, will still not get a perfect decarb, but this should bring us all cvloser to the best we can do! NOW we can kill all the decarb myths!

Here's the science, good luck understanding any more than I did......lol!

pop22 have you tested 230F at 110 minutes yet?

Toaster oven unfortunately are terrible for this, they run hot the heat cycles up and down too much. It will work but you won't have your best oil. The double boiler method is the best low cost alternative IMO.

How do you think this would fair in a toaster oven?

I've been looking into the Sous-Vide method to decarb, and came across this awhile ago which includes a lab report that nicely compliments the findings in the study http://marijuanagrowershq.com/decarboxylation-marijuana-alchemy/

Wow - this could be seriously game-changing. It confirms what I've speculated for years. That if you just heat trim, or whatever scrap that you have laying around - that it becomes much stronger, potency-wise.

Years ago, I had some cheap Mexican smoke that got soaked in flood waters. I first dried it in paper towels as best I could, and then nuked it for 30 seconds, or so in the microwave. It kicked my ass wayyy more than it should have.

Another time, I was given some not-quite-dry-enough trim. It was about 1/4 oz of mostly useless whole fan leafs. I nuked it all in several batches for different times. I forget all of the details (it's been over 20 years now), but I can tell you that those crappy leaves kept me very well buzzed for more than a week.

It was an epiphany then, and it's been confirmed now that I've learned about cannabis decarboxylation.

Today has been a huge discovery for me. :smoking: Anyone making rosins for dabbing is already well aware of this science, I suppose.

UPDATE: I just cooked about 1/2 oz of Ripley's OG trim for 45 min at 240°. It lost maybe half its weight to drying, but it has definitely been potentiated.

Awesome, fun experiment. And I learnt some stuff.

Thanks @Corgy ! and @pop22 ! Also a shoutout to by buddy @iampepe

Smoke on, my friends!!

I was skeptical of this product at first, but they have been providing good information, so I believe this may be a worthwhile product for those who have an extra $180 to drop.
But I feel the best for those who don't have or don't want to spend that much on a single use device, the oven method using a pizza stone is still about the best option. No, its not giving to Nth last percentage of cannabinoids, but it gets pretty close when done as precisely as possible. 27 minutes at 250F is still a viable guideline. Use a digital oven thermometer ( there not expensive ) and a pizza stone. You'll get at least 80% and more likely 90% + with this method
