One of my tallest is 18" already and just shy of a month old... Never seen growth like this but then again I've never grown the HBD's so that's probably why!
No Agito I'm totally organic. I use Fox Farms Happy Frog and Humboldt Nutes Organic Program... Grow Natural, Bloom Natural, HoneyES, & Deuce Deuce (0-0-22). I alternate Molasses with pH'd water every other feeding... I wouldn't dare mix organics with chems. Not my style.
Hey CDC! Long time bro! Thanks for the nice comment!!
That was one of the things I was wondering could be the problem. Too much or too little Molasses... On the jug of HN Honey ES (the ES stands for Extra Strength) it says 1 teaspoon once a week. It has pure cane molasses in it as well as other goodies. I'll try that - only using that once a week like I've been doing for the last two weeks when the AA2 started getting worse. I don't have an updated picture because I don't have access to a camera at the moment. But here's the last one I took.. You should be able to see it. From a week or so ago...
I have some other pics if this one doesn't show it good enough... She's a little worse now but I'd say she'll be ready in a week or sooner. She's almost all milky and I saw one trich with almost blood red amber. It was very cool. Wish I had my damn camera! Eh soon enough I guess... Thanks again Mate.
people might disagree but i find it normally happen with ph swing and specialy with organics you should ph as little as possible as it throws the natural balance out of wack
I still think it some sort of lockout if you have it i would dose a very light shot of epsom salts and miss the honey for a week or 2 to bring the levels down. 1tsp depending at what volume its in i would say for around 2 litres, also check the roots see if they look well it could be damage from over water
This is actually the part I was disagreeing with. I would say: "you pH when you need to." Potassium and Calcium deficiencies look very similar but I'd lean toward Calcium def in this case... most likely caused by lockout if the pH of the fert mix has not been amended. Ferts generally affect pH enough to take the mix out of the effective range (6.3-6.8). When the pH is outside that range (for soil) something is getting locked out. If we don't monitor the pH of our fert mix and amend appropriately, the same things that happen with poorly pH'd water will happen, without regard to whether or not the pH was right before you add ferts.
Just FYI, Epsom salts do not fix lockout. It's a magnesium and sulfur source. So, unless you're trying to fix a mag or sulfur deficiency, Epsom salts are only going to complicate things.
Nice one least it gives the op a direction to fix his issue
I know low ph cuts mg as well i noticed the yellowing and i had an issue that looked like that in hydro the salts can be supplied via a foilar feed without messing up the soil
