Fast Buds Fast Buds LSD-25 first grow

Man the qwiso I made from the trimmings of GSC @ 60 days is freaking great. I am overwhelmed how good it is. I can't wait to try the buds. The new seeds should be here in the next week! I'm pretty stoked about all of it, but really hope my LSD comes out like your darker pheno. They all are great looking, but she is just kinda mystic looking. Almost like you would have to turn on the light to find the jar, lol. Take care bud!

@Fuggzy I can't wait to make some LSD-25 qwiso! I have been researching different techniques. I'd never heard of that until you mentioned it. I agree with you on the darker phono, I think that she is the advertised LSD-25. She's black and purple, coated in sugar, and probably going to be my biggest yield out of the three. Even the bud structure on my darkest lady seems to be the best of the three.

I just went over to see your GSC harvest, a real shame you had to cut her early! I am interested in what the dry yield is for 60 days and also how the smoke is! I read you had pH issues and I wanted to tell you about my own. Let me start by saying I'm afraid to grow another strain because this LSD-25 is so resilient! I hadn't tested pH my whole grow, but I bought a GH pH testing kit for my next round. So I pH'd my tap just to test it after sitting out for 24 hours pH of about 8. Added 1/6 dose of my bloom, cal-mag, and coconut sap, let bubble for 24 hours and rechecked pH...it was about 5! That means this whole grow my nutrient water has been 5 or sub 5 due to higher concentrations of nutes! I did feed/water/feed/water so perhaps the 8 pH of the tap water was coming in and balancing the 5?! Either way these plants pushed through those pH fluctuations like nobodies business! I swear these gals grew themselves!

Now for more pics! day 61...

I also got three freebies of some feminized photos. After my Fast Buds are all done, I will attempt a photo. The photos I have are honeysuckle and ice breaker from advanced female seeds, and super cheese (I don't remember where the super cheese is from, too lazy to go look).

Now the hardest part is going to be deciding what to grow next! I had planned to do three fast berry and two LSD just because I know the LSD is easy to grow and they are both indic a dominant so hopefully close in structure to optimize light height and to have another purple harvest. However, I really want to grow out this rhino ryder! Also the six shooter they say is their biggest producer so that's appealing as well. Something is telling me the six shooter will be the hardest to grow so I might save those for last. I'm not sure...any input on what to grow next?

Before choosing strains, look in to LST (low stress training). It is basically just tiring down branches to expose more of a plant. There is more to it, like redistribution of hormones, trucking the plant to not know what cola is the top, shorten a plants height. Take a look at the Night terror OG in my journal. All the side shoots should all grow as a main cola. (At least I hope so!)

With some LST you could grow 2 very different strains, and still have an even canopy for the light. I would do 2 LSD, and 2 of your choice. On 1 of each plant, try your hand at LST. This would give you side by side idea of what can be done. Plus the untrained LSD could be your control subject bring you are familiar with it.

I can throw some links your way if you'd like. LST can get as complex as you'd like, or just as basic as you'd like. Talk to you later bud.:smoking:

@Fuggzy I actually read up a lot on LST before this grow. I LST'd all these girls up until the 3rd or 4th week they were all horizontal with even canopy. I had read about the auxin production or something stopping the apical dominance of the plant. I was really into it, it seemed like everyday I was tying branches and the main one would fight it's way up then I'd tie again over
and over. Then I saw elsamurai's mega grow journal and saw his untrained plant out performed his LST and his cane trained plant by a good bit. When
I saw that I untied all my girls and it's almost like I never did anything at all. I wish I would have kept one trained just to see, but I didn't want to put in extra work for diminished yield so I panicked lol. I might experiment with LST again this next round. I'll definitely train the photos in multiple ways, but autos I hate to stress out too much. The only way to figure it out is personal experimentation.

Yeah I remember that now. Sorry I was a bit stoned this morning, sipping my coffee.:coffee:

The nice thing about photos, is if you screw up training it.... just veg it an extra week and try again. I have been getting a bit more aggressive every time I train a photo. It's pretty amazing what you can do when you push a plant. I would just run 1 through the torture chamber if your up to it. Bend her, break her, slap her, tie her up, and shut her up with a ball gag. That honeysuckle is some really great smoke from what I understand.

I tend to get aggressive with autos too, lol so maybe I shouldn't be giving advice on it. I like to try things people warn you not to do. Like I super-cropped my Cord Verde mutant. Thats a big no no. The knuckle from the break is almost dead center of the pic.

Oh she loved it by the way, can't say I wont do it again. I have defoliated almost every auto. I plan on topping a few just to try it out. I've got a decent amount of reg auto seeds, and pollen. I can just make more if I get low. I don't mind loosing some for experiment if I can maybe learn something.

I will say some of the best grows here have zero training. Just this beautiful plant shaped how it was meant to be covered in huge buds. Ugh I want to go plant something! Take care bud.

@Fuggzy the training of photos does seem much more forgiving! One of my buddy's grew some blue dream hydroponically about 4 years ago and trained the hell out of that thing. Under a 400w HPS he yielded over 7 dry ounces. The potential for yield, training, and cloning from just one photo plant is very appealing. I just love the idea of auto flowers for some reason, even though I have the space to grow a photo monster, I love these little bushes! I prob would never buy a photo strain, so I'm glad I got these as freebies so I can test my luck. Maybe I'll love the photos, who knows?

As far as crazy training techniques and doing what people tell you not to do, I don't think I'm completely ready yet. I have my one experimental plant right now, but that came from the lights burning her and me not having herb. I did want to harvest at different times to see the difference in effects, but I don't know if I would have if I hadn't been in need of some smoke. At this beginning stage of my grow I can't fathom trying something off the walls and it not working out and me killing a plant. Every seed is so precious to me at this point. After looking at my 8 week herb compared to my 7 week herb, I would never chop at week 7 again, literally worlds apart in terms of fullness and density.

I know I had harvested 5 dry grams almost a couple of weeks ago and those 5 grams got me lit up, but I could tell they just weren't at their potential. They weren't full, they weren't what I expected them to be. Tonight I hold a completely dry 2.3 gram nugget of home grown Fast Buds LSD-25! I am letting my gals go another 7-10 days, but I have to say I'd be happy chopping them all now, I'm so proud of this nugget haha! So dense!

I think it's important to mention this is my least purple plant and it's still got some great color to it. Also when it is grinder up the smell is like sour fuel berry greatness. It's the kind of smell that clears out the sinuses. My dry weight on the 56th day cut is 4.5 grams. I am putting this beautiful nug and the rest to cure for as long as they will last! However, I have my vape heated up and am about to test out a popcorn bud from the bottom of the branch.

@Fuggzy thank you so much for walking me through the end and giving me so many ideas! You really don't know how much of a help you've been!

@elsamurai thanks for having two amazing grow journals highlighting the true potential of these LSD-25! Your journals inspired me to grow this strain and I am so so so pumped this is the strain I chose for my first grow, it has been such a great experience!

No worries bud, I'm just trying to pass on what other have helped me with. Lol you just happen to have a lot in common with what I happen to know! So thanks for making it easy. I feel you on not getting crazy on the training, and don't blame you. I don't recommend following my unorthodox ways. (the auto gods would have me strung up for that lol) Although I say go nuts on at least 1 photo when you grow them, it's pretty fun. My next experiment is going to be reversing the sex of female seed to get pollen from it. It should be a fun ride, and if all goes well I'll have lots of free seeds of great genetics. My first cross I want would be called Bubbas Poison. (Bubba kush auto x durban poison auto) Dinafem Vs Dutch Passion LETS GET IT ON! The Bubba Kush by Dinafem is made with the Pre '98 Bubba too, so that alone is worth sacrificing a whole plant for pollen.

That bud looks like it went bad. You should send it to me for mold testing. I'm only concerned about your health bud. See ya later.:smoking:

...I'm back

Ripped, shredded, ground up into powder :baked: Thoroughly amazed by this experience. This herb creeps hard!

~10 minutes in it was the most mildly pleasant feeling. Eye lids dropped, and my mind was instantly at ease.
~20 minutes in I started to feel extreme muscle relaxation and even stonier dream like state
~30 minutes in is right now and I am just so impressed with this smoke I had to share my thoughts. I know everyone has different tastes, but for what I look for in herb, I can't imagine a better fit for my personal needs. I'm a first time grower and a long time smoker, I highly recommend this strain to anyone and everyone. Extremely easy to grow, extremely potent to smoke! If pain relief is a desired effect you're looking for, I think this herb could do the trick. I have a scoliosis and it normally is always kind of nagging at me, but right now I don't feel any discomfort at all. I don't think I could function during the day on this stuff if I had anything important to do. This herb is the ultimate relaxation smoke.

np bro. that's why I put them up. and I agree, a great relaxation smoke. ;)
