You know what you're doing and are correct. it will be fine just get that rooting hormone on it and to wear it doesn't just come off in the water. no problems really should come up. Clear plastic cups make great humidity domes as you asked earlier.

Thanks for the help everyone...I didn't wind up taking the clone till last night cause i've just been too busy.

anyways, i prepared my bucket with ro water with a ph of 5.8 along with some DM Zone, Cal/Mag and a seedling dosage of veg nutes.

set up my bucket with bubbles and spirtz a plenty with a homemade humidity dome out of a 2 liter pop bottle. She was a lil droppy last night but has perked right up this morning, which i think is a good sign :thumbs:

I plan to flower her out along with her mother together after my diesel ryder is finished blooming. Have a look see at the new gang.

exactly my thoughts! After being a chronic smoker for the past 10 years, id say ive spent an easy 150k on grade A marijuana. Where i currently live, the stuff i smoke runs for 60 an 8th! I've been lucky enough to have a good rapor with my dealer to get a zip for 360..not bad...but even the value of 2 plants im growing will cover the expenses of my whole grow, and i'm just growing for personal use becuase i'm really getting sick of wasting my hard earned money to buy medicine/plant matter. It just doesn't make sense when it seems/is so easy if you do it right, take your time, and do your homework. It's become my new addiction and i'm in love with this whole process and i love this forum! Thanks everyone for all the help and encouragement.

lol... Im with ya man! I live in a place with a million dispensaries that overcharge the hell out of mmj! Glad I started my venture into learning the basics in growing! Helped me to realize that is all pretty basic! And who knows what type of ferts and pesticides these money hungry fools have us smoking! I'm trying to keep my smoke as natural as possible!

update day 45

Does anyone else find themseleves just staring at thier plants for long periods of time? lol I can't get over how much fun growing my favoring herb has been. The diesel ryder smell has taken over my entire apartment but i dont mind it one bit

Day 45 since both my diesel ryder auto and power kush photo sprouted...the clone i took off the pk hasn't shown any roots yet but i know that could take up to 2 weeks. Other than that she looks healthy under the humidity dome.

nutes: dutch master + additive

extras: cal/mag, zone.

pkH 5.6 PPM 896 DR: PH 5.8 PPM 534

Temps: 77-80

Hieght: DR: 14" PK: 12"

The DR has about 25 more days to go. I plan to harvest on the 65th day from seed and immediately put the 2 pks into flower. I did a little lst on the pk to open her up, give the smaller bud sites some light. I wound up breaking a couple branches off from the main stem, not fully just a tear. My instinct was to apply some rooting gel in the exposed stem area to ward off bacteria and the other stem that was more severely broken i just tied up with a piece of yarn. I'm thinking they will heal up, it is a weed after all so im thinking pretty durable.:howdy:

Plants are looking great and green spelsylver, yummier every time I see them! lol...man that sux that the DR's stink that bad, and you're still have a lil way to go. I might just have to end up selling all of those seeds that I have or trading them for something more suitable for my living situation.:cry:

Thanks alot! yeah, the Diesel is very potent. I've only got one of her and i can smell her before i even open up the apartment to my door. Definately, not the plant you want growing if you want a stealth grow.

My fiancee is a culinary arts major, so that cookbook will come in nice and handy in a couple of months!

I can't wait to smoke my first batch of home grown grade A Mary Jane

Today marks day 50, but i did a res change on day 49. 2 more weeks before i chop my diesel ryder!!

She has frosted up quite a bit. When i rub my fingers on a sugar leaves, my fingers sparkle, stick together and smell like a bag of lemons drenched in diesel fuel all wrapped up in a baby's poopy diaper. That's the best way i can describe the stench coming from her She swells bigger and bigger, day by day. I'm hoping for at least an ounce dry, but i have no idea just wishful thinking :booya:

My power kush is growing to be a monster. I counted at least 20 good tops on her so far. I can't wait to put her into flower. I have to be honest and say that the clone i took from her appears to be dying (curling up leaves and yellowing out, no roots popped through, its been 9 days since cut) :no: but im not upset as im positive the mother power kush will yield a nice amount if i can keep her healthy. I'm concerned about her stretching up more when she goes into flower, i only have maybe 2 1/2 3 feet for them to go up. The tent is only 5 feet tall!

Anyways, enough chatter here are the pics. I tried to get the best shots possible with my camera phone because that's all i have, to me they just dont do her justice. Please comments, suggestions more than welcomed. I love this forum and i'm loving this grow so far, a lot of thanks to all who have helped along the way by posting their own threads.

Man I dunno what to tell ya they are looking really good. May want to invest in some hygrozyme what little I've used so far. it is an amazing products to keep those roots healthy in hydro. It just wows me.

Thanks gearbear. I actually have an almost full bottle of hygrozyme. I had started applying it shortly after the dr went into flower and still got root rot. I picked up zone, which i have continued to use since it cleared up my rot. And from what i understand, putting in hygrozyme and zone will be wastefull as the zone will immediately kill the hygrozyme. That is what i've read, don't know if its true but my next grow i plan to try out the hygrozyme in one and zone in the other, see which helps better. I do have to admit tho, after i started applying the zone, the root rot went away almost over night, whereas the hygrozyme had already been in the bucket.
