DWC/Fog LED/CFL/ HPS (Maxi, JH, blueberry x ak47)

Setup:

Plastic Storage Locker
Ultrasonic Fogger
Air Pump and Bubbler
300W Triband LED
150w HPS
CFLs on clamps
Small Heater

Nutes:
Dutch masters One Grow and Bloom One Gold
Thrive Alive

Etc. (Air Filter with carbon, fan, storage tote, "GH" PH kit, ppm pen, timer, power strips, air purifier, ultrasonic humidifier, RO and Distilled mixed water)

Autos:
Jock Horror (fem)
2 blueberry x ak47 (reg)
Grassomatic maxi GOM (fem)

On like day 20? had some germ problems (my fault, over-watered and too deep in grow pellet) so the JH is a few days older than the others needed to re-germ blueberries and maxi

For the grow cycle I use the LED and some small CFLs. I'll switch to HPS and CFL for Flower.

"This is my pretend grow and everything on here (on this site) or how I reply is not true. I like to fantasize. However, I wish they would legalize for medical use everywhere."

I have one floating teflon ultrasonic fogger for my bin. It does the job in what size I have. My bin is about half the size of the regular size totes and I use about 3 gallons of water in it.
My bin temps are good with it, Right at 65-68 degrees running constantly at 75-85 degree environmental temps.

I also use a small ultrasonic fogger/ humidifier for humidity outside the bin. Something I've noticed about the Ultrasonic for environment: I have very thick fat leaves as though I have a constant high/great humidity, whereas my humidity reading stays at like about 40 percent or less. My thoughts are that the super-fine mist is more accessible in the air to the leaves even at lower overall humidity levels by the hydrometer. Or, the hydrometer does not read correctly due to the ultrafine almost dry nature of the mist. My hydrometer is analog and reads accurately in regular circumstances.

I'm getting great Roots very, very fine hairy all the way down to dipping into the water. I'm running my nutes rather high, not all are 20 days old yet but seem not to mind it 580 ppm constant. The JH probably could take a higher dose for sure (judging by it's awesome growth and not quite as deep green as the others. 1 of the 2 blueberryak show just a touch of nute burn on the tips of a couple of leaves, but it only showed a few days after the roots hit the water and I believe the burn was just a bit of shock, as I don't think the ultrasonic fog carries the higher ppm as does the res water. (also, why I believe some people get great results in fog only systems at start to mid-veg, but somewhat poorly there after when dealing with larger plants. I believe fog has a max point at which it can carry nutes. My best guess is somewhere at the 300ppm range. I counter this flaw by using DWC(bubble)/ Hybid, to maximize nute absorption in lower ppm fog and give the plant the option of all the nutes it needs in the roots that are in the water. I believe this provides a healthy sterile system for the plants and helps maximize their potential.

Your system sounds like a nice little setup.

Good to have a hydro expert around.. allot of us are using soil, so we are tapped out of advice on the hydro subject.

FAR from expert, very very amateur. First Hydro grow actually. Just a lot of reading and communicating through 1,000s of other grow threads. I like to experiment and study from other's results. This is just the best solution that I have came to with my space, size, stealth, what I want medically for myself while trying for the best results.
I've noticed that there are very few auto hydro growers.
I guess it makes sense though. Most growers if being able to grow year round with decent size spaces would use photos for perpetual grows most likely for faster, better results with less changes during life cycles of plants to bud. But if variety is fun for you, I think autos are the bomb-dot-com. [Although, I always thought having a mother photo plant with several grafted varieties would be cool to have.]
My restrictions are: space, stealth, and time of year. During late spring, summer months, and fall. I cannot maintain temperatures and do not grow. So mothers aren't really a good option for me. Growing photo-plants for the short time isn't really good either. I really wanted to try hydro. Because after soil growing, I really wanted to have more control and do more with my grow. So this is the hydro solution I have came to.
I experimented briefly with aeroponics, but unless you have a large reservoir the heat build-up from the pump is a serious issue. You need a large pump with the pressure that is needed. But, from my experiment the roots liked the aeroponics even better than the fogger (although not as fine roots, much more rapid root growth). So If you have the option of a large Rez. Aeropoics is very awesome, but watch for nute build-up at nozzles.

I have read that people have had a problem with heat from ultrasonic foggers, but I have had no problem with this in 3 gallons of water with 1 fogger. Maybe it is the brand? Mine does not have an LED light like the cheaper ones and it has a teflon disk to prevent nute build-up. Mine is also in a float that keeps it at optimum depth. I run mine 24/7.

I grow because of a serious health problem I have and this seems to be the only thing that helps as preventative. Right now, I am currently out and have been having relapses and worsened conditions because of it, but in another few months I will have some green again. I will not buy from a dealer or from Mexico. I do not support groups or people that may help support groups that do not respect life and choice.

I have severe migraines. Especially during seasonal and barometric pressure changes. Having a little mj every once and while during the evening when I have nothing going on seems to help prevent them. I wake up every morning with a headache. I do not need much honestly, I'm not a rec user. Although, was some times during high school and college and noticed then that it helped.
1 oz. probably could last me year is how little I need. :)
I do love to grow though. It's so much fun and I love to research and learn too. And I will post this in the Med section too. Thanks for the interest.

Top Left (Jock Horror (FEM)- older by a few days than rest)
Bottom Left and Top Right (Blueberry x AK47 (Reg))
Middle (Grass O Matic Maxi (Fem) [AK47 x Critical mass genes])

The Maxi is also younger than all of them by about 5 days to Blue47 and 9 or better days to JH

nice clean little setup there bro... well done! is that aero chamber or DWC?
I notice you're fogging? is that just humidity?

JM

ps... if i didn't welcome you yet.. welcome to AFN!
