Dutch Passion Dutch Passion StarRyder grow by Seymour-buds

I will be able to provide full details about the new variety on June 15th I reckon, so not long to wait. Seeds will not be available for public sale for another couple of months, until then only Seymour has them. Mwah ha ha ha.......

seymour, do you add silica and cal/mag in the res together? also, if you're still looking for the 'boss hog' air stones here's a link to a place that ships them internationally: http://www.greners.com/micro-pore.html i've never purchased from them, just came across the site. looking forward to the upcoming growth.

what do you mean add them together? i have a bottle of sensi cal/mag and a bottle of dutch master silica, both are used when i make up a fresh res

cheers for the link but ive come to the understanding that when your pushing copious amounts of oxygen into the buckets you need to use an air diffuser and not airstones, the pressure will blow chunks out of the airstones,i use aqua angels ceramic like these

thanks tony, keep everybody in suspense for another 8 days. lol :D

I'll have to grab me some of those. Thanks for sharing.

Those air diffusers look mean! I was impressed with the amount of oxygen you pump into the res! Really amazing!

WTF lol. thats why you have good results. Go high-tech.
Good soil and lots of sun is my way lol.

go big or go home

you can actually run the buckets without the airstones and just blow air straight into the nutrient mix, i think its called flooming, or you can punch loads of tiny airholes into the airtube and use it that way

possibilities are only as limited as your own imagination

Subbed up Seymour can't wait to see some trees :smokebuds:

i dont like hidro\DWC, you cant misse anything and if the electricity goes off for a few hours they probably die.

The water will keep it's oxygen for about 48h or so. And one can allways stir the res from time to time. That would be plenty of time for electricity to come up. Unless ofcourse it's a total meltdown and MJ would be the least of my concerns ;)

Yeah, about different ways to get airflowing, but those seem to give a kind of foam in the surface of the water ain't that so? It bubbles in a special way.

That is the thing with ceramics, Hugo, the back pressure (Air Pump Push) required is usually minimum 2bar. 14.7psi per bar. The bubbles are "Special" as with ceramic, they are micro at 100-300microns, this give masive surface area for "Diffusion". Diffusion slows as water temp rises. Air is only 20% o2, there in lies the problem. if you put to much in 110% o2 saturation arrives, beyond that "Super Saturation" Of Nitrogen occurs. Which causes gas bubble disease in koi. Not sure what the affect would be on higher terrestrial plants ! i use them in my 5000 gallon koi pool when the water temp hits 19c or above. I found these 132mm round ceramic disks for my future auto Pumped Organic DWC 40L buckets system, 9 quid ea. And not to big for 40L PODWC buckets. cn-koi.com
