Yeah, I would reckon it's a match for 450W HPS, but I agree with you, it seems to bring out higher quality and more GPW than MH/HPS. What do you think about the double ended ones? 630W CMH?



Haven't bumped into this, just double 315W CMH fixtures, for a total of 630W.

EDIT: I'm guessing that @stoney T doesn't mind some healthy discussion, however, sorry for hijackin' the thread .

It’s a 600 watter with a ceramic arc,and it runs off a standard 600 watt ballast.its basically a high performance 600 watt hps bulb,with more blue and UV built in than any 600 watt hps ever made.

I only came across it a few days ago...I think it’s the hps way of rivalling the cmh? I can imagine the bulbs are bloody expensive though! But you only need to buy the bulb,should fit straight into a normal 600 watt reflector.

@stoney T just smoking some ShortStuff auto Jedi Kush mate ....... holy crap, I highly recommend it mate! Mazar x Blueberry x OG Kush. Reckon it's the strongest weed i've smoked! Smells and tastes like bubble hash in a joint, and strong as fook! So many trichs! I'm actually shocked

its on my list to try out the jedi kush/ skywalker sounds great currently got my hands on some trainning day its quite nice trainwreck x la confidential heavy stuff frosty also

I reckon you'd be ok with autos and a 315 in a 1.2x1.2 mate, as long as you went looooong daylight hours. But I still don't think it will touch your 600 for yield. It's only 315 watts. I think more of a true match for a 400w. BUT...... its the spectrum that makes a lot of difference. Very similar to cob spectrums. Daylight type white light which is very efficient. Seen a lot written about CMH/LEC bringing out extra teprs and have seen lab report proof of increased THC

I'm using T5 for veg now, so I'm thinking T5 for a couple of weeks, then under the 315 CMH, then full flowering under the CMH and 200w of cobs. Nice.

Actually a 315w CMH, has more PAR out-put then a 600w hps.mh does(1.9umol per watt).. SO I think the 315w will straight up out-power the 600w hps, I just received a 315w CMH to test out, I have to say it runs as cool as a 150w hps ...BTW I was using a 400w mh/430w hps on S.L & also using 600w Led(290w true) also 300w Led(148w true) this 315w CMH certainly brighter then a 400w mh/hps...

Hmmm, I've seen a few test grows that say otherwise unfortunately. Big improvements in taste, terps, high etc and a good increase in yield, but not a match for 600w yield wise. It's a big ask.

Prove me wrong though! That would be cool. I got some silly g/w results from 200w of cobs and the right strains. It can be done!
