Dutch Passion Dutch Passion AutoXtreme : by KO in DWC under FERO LED's

Little update
PH make me crazy, today just before they fall a sleep I added ph- to lower ph by 0.2 and when they woke up ph was 6.2 WTF is going on? EC stay same, water lvl doesn't change much .
I don't know what to do with this ph issue maybe someone know? ? ?
They are recovered fine from the swing but don't know how to keep ph in range as I'm unable to drop ph to 5.7 from 6.2 in one time otherwise they would be hurt....
I need some :wiz: here ASAP

Are your water tank clean?
I had the same prob with rising ph whatever i did. I used lemon or ph down and got it down to where i wanted just to see i rising in the next couple of hours again.
My tank was clean, but NOT the tank where i got my rain water. I gave that one a good cleaning and problem went away.

you deal with ppm's and i can only work with ec, what is the ec in your buckets

your ec wants to be higher mate, id up them to 1.0 this should fix the ph rising also

i cant remember what your water background ec was but what ever it is add that on top , if you background ec is .2 make your res 1.2 ec ph 5.7

cheers

And when was the last time you gave it a good clean?

Takes so little to makes ph go crazy.

Do you use an air stone in your tank? That really helps keeping ph stable also.

seymour-buds : I use RO water ec ~ 0. I will rise it with next res change (actually thought would be better to rise it gradually 'every week added 50ppm more'). And yes I aim ph of 5.7 but just can't keep it there.
Justinsane : I cleaned everything with last res change 5 days ago. And I do have air-stones (check my first post :) )

im pretty sure canna aqua doesnt work well with r/o water as its designed for hard water, you really need to be using r/o nutrients

have a search on google for r/o water and canna aqua and see what effects others have had this might also give you a soloution to your issues

cheers

Copy paste
Canna accounts for minerals normally found in tap water, but any problems will using RO water will be in the form of a deficiency. if you are having problems and increase in ppms or Cal-Mag does the trick.

However, the oxygenation of DWC systems will break up the nutrients pH buffers. it will be a nightmare trying to keep your pH in check.

Ok I will rise EC + use some tap water as buffer and add more additives
