Yo!

This is my first post to this forum although I have been lurking in the shadows reading for a while :)

I am currently getting ready for my first grow, although I have encountered a few hiccups along the way, the main one being extraction. I will be growing in a 1.2 X 1.2 X 2.0 grow tent under a 200w advanced diamond series led. Originally my grow space was to be smaller so I purchased a 4" filter and fan. Over the weekend I put the tent up as a trial run with fan/filter to see if the sides of the tent were sucked in. They were sucked in ever so slightly, and I really cannot emphasise how slight.
I think I am gonna go for a 5" to be safe. I was thinking to buy new fan and hold off on buying the carbon filter till bloom? Just to spread cost, as already laid out for 4"

Any tips on hanging filter/fan? Would those ezy roller light hangers work well?

I hung the other day with bungee cords as you can see from pic but couldn't get the ducting quite level with the entry port on tent.

I am gonna be growing 2 x AutoColorado Cookies and 2 x AutoBrooklyn Sunrise in Plagron light mix using tangs easy auto feeding schedule.

I picked the strains a while back after reading good things about dutch passion autos, finding tangs diary on here has been an unbelievable help, fair play!

Any tips/suggestions would be much appreciated, gonna do a diary on here once I get going.

Thanks

It looks good to me. 4 inch will be fine. negative pressure is good to have.
Welcome aboard and just ask if u have any questions.

Thanks a lot for weighing in guys, I appreciate it. I appreciate all the knowledge on these forums :)

I am conflicted on what to do about fan/filter, I've been told by some it will be ok and others to go bigger. I don't want to start grow then have to change it because not sufficent, I'd rather go bigger from the start, even though I'd be taking a hit.

How about the ducting in the picture will it restrict airflow because at an angle? Dunno if I may be over thinking things but I really wanna nail the planning and have this grow go well :)

Thanks again for the help

Im using 4in ducting in a 4x4 tent and its good for me. Never had much problems with smell.

Yo guys,

Cool beans I am gonna stick with my 4" inch then. I was thinking of attaching the filter once plants start to bloom, Am I right in thinking the filter will reduce air movement by about 20%?

Also when do you guys schedule your time for lights off? Is it best to do at a certain time of day or does it not matter?

You're going to have a great set up man. As for the lights off well it depends how hot ks in your area. I used to do light off during the day cuz it was the hottest part here. So it all depends when you want your lights to go off.

I'm currently running 24/0 for the start and will transition to 20/4 at day 14 for the remainder of the grow, personally I'm gonna set it up so the lights are off around the time I get home for work so i can do my watering and toiling around in regular light
