Indoor Duckster gives Wilma a go

Last weekend I popped some pips into rooters. 1 Gelato and 3 Mephisto pips that I have had for a couple of years. On Tuesday the Gelato was up. On Wednesday I added 1 Red CBD, 1 Strawberry Cheesecake, and 1 Strawberry Cheesecake #3 as backups. Today, the Mephisto pips are still no-shows but the backups are up. So it begins.

Too bad the Meph beans didn't pop but I'm glad the rest did. Who is the breeder of the Strawberry Cheesecake? I have some freebies of that one from Seedsman Seeds that I've heard good things about.

Hey RG - How you doing girl. Hope your staying warm! Yep my strawberry cheesecake and strawberry cheesecake#3 were also freebies from Seedman Seeds. They were fairly fresh as I have had them less than a year. Everything else that I have is 2+ years old. Time to get some new gear eh.

Hey Duckster, it's not too cold right now but we still have a lot of snow. That's cool it's the same seeds I have, I am looking forward to seeing you grow these out for sure! And yes, it is always time to get more seeds, I have a habit of hoarding too many  I just see stuff I like and that's that...

Cold is a relative thing. I'm a wus when it comes to snow & ice. Have spent winters in Michigan, Ohio, Washington, Wisconsin and it's no for me.:nono: Currently 40F outside (70F inside) in my gulf coast world and I'm cold

Yep me too. Way too many seeds and not enough time or space to grow em. Kind of a shame though as most I have had for 2-5 years so wondering if any of them are still viable. I have always purchased pips from banks and breeders on ta other side of the pond. I am starting to see more seed sources on our side but I'm not familiar with any of the banks, breeders, or strains. I did run across a seed bank on the west coast (I think) that had a couple of interesting sounding strains. One was Deathstar from Coastal Genetics and the other was Jesus OG from Original Kush Seeds. Have you ever heard of these breeders or strains?

I'm up in central Canada so yeah you would be freezing your buns off right now  Sounds like you like in a great place for warmth, I don't like the cold but I gotta tolerate it or I'd lose my mind.

Do you keep your seeds in the fridge? If you seal them in packets and maybe add some desiccant to them they should be fine. I had seeds that were 10 years old and all but one germinated, they were just in the fridge taped back up in the breeder pack! So I tend to not worry too much, but also maybe those seeds were fresh when I got them, older seeds could be an issue for longevity. Hell I had one pack brand new ten seeds got one plant out of them.

You guys have some decent places to order from down there, Oregon Elite Seeds has a decent following and good rep, but I have not ordered yet. Shipping is so expensive to get seeds from anywhere, and I prefer to order from places that have stealth and guaranteed shipping. But they have some fire genetics I'd love to order one day! (I just looked and they don't carry what you are interested in tho)! I don't know of many other seed banks in the US as I usually order from UK etc. Seedsman and Attitude/Choice seedbank. No, I have not heard of those breeders but they could be great genetics, only one way to find out (buy more seeds haha)!
