Mephisto Genetics Duckster does Mephisto

Update time. Day 46 for the SC & DBC. Buds are starting to slowly bulk up. Our cool spell was a bit of a fluke, so the cab temps are back up to 80-90F and rh is 45-60%. Soil pH is good at 6.4-6.7. The girls have been getting 500ml a day of
2 ml/l AN pH perfect Grow
2 ml/l AN pH perfect Micro
2 ml/l AN pH perfect Bloom
1 ml/l AN B-52
2 ml/l GH CaliMagic
1 ml/l AN Big Bud
1 ml/l AN Rhino Skin
1 ml/l AN Carboload
1 ml/l AN SeniZym
1 ml/l AN B-52

The TXA is at 18 days and looking healthy. She is almost as tall as the other two. Big fan leaves, very upright and well spaced nodes. She is now getting 250ml a day of
1.5 ml/l AN pH perfect Grow
1.5 ml/l AN pH perfect Micro
1.5 ml/l AN pH perfect Bloom
1 ml/l AN Voodoo Juice
1 ml/l AN Rhino Skin

Looking amazing pal, those first two are looking like they are ready to explode and put some nice weight on real soon, nicely done and looking forward to see them put on the chunk for you ;)

Day 52 for the SC & DBC. I broke out the scope for the first time this grow. I checked the SC first and I got a bit of a surprise. Most of her trics look cloudy to me. Some spots have quite a few amber and a few spots still have some clear. She is still super green with no signs of yellowing leaves. Some of the pistols are turning amber, but I'm hoping to get a bit more bulk on the buds. I'm figuring maybe another 10-14 days judging from the trics. Damn this girl is quick. I was figuring a quick strain with my luck might be done at 80 days. Looking like she will be done at 60-65. Being quick is probably a blessing in disguise as she is really smelling up the house now. I think the carbon filters have given up. If she smokes anything like she smells, I will be doing this one again as soon as I replace the carbon. A few tric shots of the Sour Crack.

So then I checked the DBC. Looks like about a 50-50 clear-cloudy mix to me. So maybe she will go 70-75 days. I kind of hope so. She has more buds than her sister and extra week or two will give them a chance to fatten up. She is starting to put out a faint smell. Smells like pine to me and I like it. Some Deep Blue C tric shots.

Will do a proper update tomorrow with more time to take pictures. Also need to include the little TXA. Thanks for taking an interest. As always - questions, comments, and comic relief are always welcomed.

Great recovery mate, glad to see that you learned from the mistakes. I read the whole thread or at least the updates and the answers that people passed along. I may be late to this and it seems that they have done well given the beginning. I think the main impact to the DBC was a stunting issue on top of the old soil issue.

For some reason and this is with most of the autos that i have grown, if something happens to them when they are young it really impacts the plants. I cant remember a lot of PAK's that i was growing and i had to leave them in the care of someone. I advised them how to water but they didnt listen to a damn thing that i said. They watered in the cab and let the plants sit in a puddle of water. So all that soil did was suck up that water and the plants seriously were impacted and didnt grow very much. I know that is different than what happened to you but i think what you were seeing was shock to the plant from low water at the beginning. I also noticed that all of the soil was not wet after watering. Autos have a serious root system. They grow and spread fast in the soil and these are one plant that i have seen that break a common rule, their roots expand past the canopy and the whole soil needs to be moistened. If not it can restrict common and regular growth patterns on the plant.

Now about the run off you mentioned. That too may have added insult to injury, however running used soil is OK as long as during the last phase of the plats life you flush the shit out of it. It has to be flushed as there are tons of things sitting in it. Salt build up, old nutes, and maybe a few other things. That soil needs to be clean when it goes back to recycle and if not its becoming toxic in the bin especially if there are nutes left over. I noticed that you are using some what of an arsenal of nutes, may I ask why? Just seems like over kill to me.

Thanks for dropping by FD. Yeah I should have known that I needed to flush the soil really good before putting it into the soil bin. Feeling like a wanker on that one. I have since taken all the soil from the bin and flushed it good.

As for the "arsenal of nutes", I was doing a modified version of one of Tang's earlier feed schedules. I have since read his most recent schedule that only uses about half of the stuff. I will adopt that as soon as I use up this stuff.
