Mephisto Genetics Duckster does Mephisto

Wow...not sure how I missed this till now!! Sorry bro..I just had the same thing happen with my current round of photos. Only I wish I had culled them instead if waste power on small yielding plants. Did u try raising ur light a bit to get them 2 stretch? Anyway like u said. .chalk it up 2 a learning experience and keep on keeping on bro. I'm sure u will pull at least an oz of them. Just love em and treat em right and they will pay u back in the end!! Mega rep for staying in the fight bro..

Day 25
I think that I may have figured out the problem with my little cabbages. After filling the pots for my last grow, I added the soil from my first grow to my soil bin. On this grow the soil was at least 50% recycled soil. I normally don't water enough to have a runoff. Yesterday I over watered a bit and the runoff was very dark. I assume the dark color was from nutes that were still in the recycled soil. I flushed them with 30 liters each and the runoff is now clear.

So I'm thinking someone's comment about soil that was too hot for my babies was probably dead nuts on. Hopefully the flush has fixed this problem. The girls are short bushy things with lots of small leaves and are starting to get a nice smell. So now I'm trying to decide to cull or not to cull. Invest another 8 weeks on two small plants with possible small yields or chalk up four weeks as a learning experience and start over. Decisions decisions
Here are the girls.

duckster I don't see any real issue with those plants .. those strains don't get "real" tall to begain with. Move your lamp up as far as you can... the roots are all set .. you can get some stretch on those girls just get the light off of them and make them work for the light.. ya got 10 days... all my soil has been reused for well over a year now.. tell me more about your lighting, and don't kill those pretty plants!!!

after the stretch lover the lamps back down.. Have you started feeding them how much?? there lime green? that could be another reason they look hungry!!!

What!

You can't do that, everybody knows the plants will fall over dead.
The yield will suffer, quality will decline, angels will fall.
Earthquakes, flood, famine...

Or maybe soil can mature from a sterilized graveyard into a rich mix of helpful bacteria and fungi?

Hey Duck, I read the whole thread again. If it gets hot in the upper when you touch off the extra side lights turn on your co2 boost you'll be happy

Damn Step ya read the whole thing again. So are you just a glutton for punishment or just looking some cheap comic relief? lol

Hey JT thought you passed through at the very beginning but maybe not. Yep it's all a learning experience bro. Didn't have the heart to cull the girls. They looked so healthy. The WW in my first grow was a bit of a runt and she ended up at 39". Besides I'd keep the SC around for the smell alone. lolol A few days ago I raised the light up to about 20" and today I raised it again up to 34". Yea I love 'em and treat 'em right but I have drawn the line long before I sing to 'em lmao Probably kill 'em anyway. Yep keep on keeping on cuz that's what we do eh. When is the next video installment due?

Say Elvis thanks for stopping by! Yeah couldn't kill my babies - not yet anyways. I now have the light up all the way. I start with water as needed for the first week. Then I switch to light feed every other day. I rarely have any runoff so I assume any nutes not taken in by the plant are still in the soil. I flush with 30-40 liters of tap before I switch to bloom nutes which continue until 7-10 days before chop. Tap water daily for the last 10 days but still no runoff. So, I'm thinking that I should be flushing all of those bloom nutes out of the soil before I add it back to the soil bin. What say you Elvis?

The cab manufacturer has an OEM set up with a LED manufacturer. Light looks an awful lot like a mars-hydro reflector series except it is longer, narrower, and the leds are 5W instead of 3W. Same veg/bloom spectrum setup though - 480W total. Also have 2 30W led corn lights and a 48W led bar for side lighting. Currently only running the veg spectrum on the main light.

Stay warm bro and I hope you plan to (assuming you have not done so already) teach those people what a real snowball is. lolol

You got that right Bubba. Was a regular fungi/mold fest in there before I filled the pots this time. Hopefully it was all good stuff.

duckster are you using a gallon jug? if so those plants are starving!!

give those plants 8 oz feed water once a day no more no less.

lets have a look after a week ..

No those measurements were per liter. So actually a bit stronger that what you recommend. You are right, I normally add voodoo juice at the start and again after the flush. I forgot to add voodoo juice after the flush this time. Normally start cal/mag and rynoskin around day 35 but will start them a few days early. Have been giving them 500-600 ml (a little more than 2 cups)every other day. Will drop down to 1 cup daily for now. Thanks for the tip

To be honest I just haven't had the energy or the time to record anything. ..I've been working on other bigger picture ventures lately. Looks like I may be growing at a legal capacity for the manufacturing of Live resin. Just got the offer the other day soo I have to go meet with them and work out the details. But basically I just grow ..crop..and drop. And I get paid...no drying or curing needed. Seems pretty simple soo i gotts 2 look into it further. ...I think that should be a good height for the light to induce some stretch.

Damn man living the good life. Sounds like the basement is going to be full now. And you get all of the fun parts too. Well cept for the smoking. But I'm sure some choice nugs will end up in yer jar.

Almost forgot to do a update. Day 31 for the SC and DBC. Both continue to spread out and up. Since I flushed they seem to be concentrating on growing now. Hoping they will stretch at least another 12" before they really start to bloom. The new addition TXA is in her pot with her sisters. Everybody looks happy and healthy.
