Harvest & Curing Drying in a brown bag

Well..........That horse is in the barn!!!
Final Trimmed up all the 15 gal GG#4 and bagged up in two Grove bags and threw in a little hydrometers.
I got just over 8oz at 228.2grams with a bunch of trim for hash.
After 8 hours, the bags were running 60 and 61% humidity.

Very nice... So what do you want the humidity to be when curing I have to buy some of them little meters you have

58-62% I'll put an Integra in one if it doesn't come up overnight. I'm cool with 61 if it stays there,

Anywhere between 58% and 62% overnight and I just take the hygrometer out and heat seal. Store in a dark place ~68°F and now the best part It is OK to forget about it :jump: . I hated burping jars with a passion. I would often forget or get mixed up which plant was harvested when? Those days are over.

If it's stable, I pull the hygrometers, seal one and then split the other into half oz. bags. I'm gonna order some 1/4 oz later I think.

just had a good read of this, i have several paper bags that i've nicked off the wife. Once the plant is ready, am i right in chopping the fan leaves off, cutting the buds into gold ball sized pieces and straight into the bags, 1 layer?

I don't have another tent, so could i bag them up and hang them at the top of my tent which will be runnings with 3 other plants in?

I've set up a little plastic greenhouse in the corner of the room, which i was planning on putting a small piece of ducting from there to my tent so it pulls out some of the air and then using a small fan to push air around, which would allow me to hang the plants to dry but paper bags seems a better idea.

Do the bags need a small fan faced at them to encourage air circulation? Thanks.

It depends on what stage your plants are in now. If they are in flower, I'd say no with lower humidity needed in flower. you could do it in the tent if you have higher humidity for veg. If you must dry in the tent, Take the fan leaves off at least, wet trim if you want, but leave the buds on the stems to slow the dry some more. No fan is needed or wanted on the bags.
