Harvest & Curing Drying in a brown bag

Don't you find the buds get squashed out of shape and stick to each other?

Sounds like your putting to much in the bags bro,you just wanna line the bottom.

Nope never.... Not that i would recommend doing but.... Ive been very short on bags before and had a whole plant in one bag.... Layers of news paper in between did the trick, just changed it every couple of days.... IMO have the air space and not rolling the bag down too tight stops buds from being squashed....

good to know N.W, my other half loves that shop lol

Yea mate so does mine...

ok well theyre off the ground and in a box like rob suggested

didnt wanna close them to much but didnt wanna have them open so just a simple single fold is what i got going..

my RH meter which you can see is sitting in the box not in an actual bag and its reading over 60+ RH should i worry about mold? id imagine its even higher in the bags with buds..:toke:

If i was hang drying i would hang them for a week since its around 60 RH, then id check the stems to see if they crack...how do i "check" them or know when theyre are dried out since i have zero stems on any, just bags of straight nugs..should it take less than a week since the stems have been cut already?

i know the buds will feel kinda dry on the outside but is that what i rely on? just wanna play it safe guys :smokebuds:

I now know what method to try on my first dry/cure! Just wanna confirm u dontbhave to hang dry at all? I keep getting mixed info when I started looking into this. Some say dry 3 days then bag and I've heard straight in bag then to jar for cure

As far as i know if your using the brown bag you dont need to hang dry. Ive alwayss hanged dried in the past and it worked out pretty good to be honest but more experienced growers on here are saying they have done both and this method holds fragrance better so thats why im tryng it. i didnt hang dry just straight into bags after chop :D

They will be fine bro, ideal world you would make tho's bags air thight as poss... When the bags are open it takes a little longer too dry... They should be dry in 4 to 5 days, but be careful once there nearly dry the moister goes quickly and its easy to over dry them.....
