I too have switched to brown paper bags. I switched through neccesity, last autumn. I`m going to stick with it now, cos I noticed a better flavour/smell, than when hanging! If i hadn`t had to deal with mold issues, I probably wouldn`t have...every cloud and all that...
i did the brown paper bag method and i think its the best method to dry your buds. like robwars said, the fragrance stays in the bag and makes the buds smell better :smoke:
do you guys think if i chopped and let hang dry for a day or so and then went to brown bags id still get that better smell/flavor lock in from the bags? or if i start to hang dry should i mine as well just hang dry and not switch? :smokebuds:
i just ask because im gunna smoke a bowl after i post this and probally chop a russian rocket fuel down and i dont have any brown bags right now so id have to hang dry until i can get the bags which may be a day or two but i really wanna try it this harvest, what yall think

I would personally wait till you got the bags.but thats me man.LOL!Im thinkin it'll make a difference even from day one since it starts to gas off n all that jazz.heck I dont know.

oh heres what im working with..am i doing this right?
i know some nugs are probally slightly bigger than a golf ball but i seriously dismantled my colas in order to get them this small, so its the best i could do. i tried to not over stuff each bag too.
let me say if your doing this method to save space get the large grocery bags like robwars said like the big ones bill millers has, so you dont end up with a bunch of small bags like me
Some questions i have are...how open to i keep the bags exactly?..closed good or just kinda fold the top over? i have them all closed differently to be honest cause i wasnt sure
Also ok i was under the impression the longer it takes to dry the better..im not in any rush to dry i just want the better smelling/tasting weed at the end thats why i chose this method.. Well in order to get my nugs small enough to be golf ball sized i had to remove all the stems leaving me just nugs (see picture 1). So would i have been better off leaving the stems on..would that have extended the drying period making it an overall better dry or helped any way or does it matter?
and i always used the stem snap test to test if they were ready to jar but i obviously cant do that now, so how will i know when to jar exactly?
