wow jackal cool! and happy belated birthday to you! curious to know how your dry ice extraction came out...
Here is the final results from my dry ice kief extraction. I only wound up using 2.5 ounces of trim, going to save the rest for different things like butter and tincture.
I was shocked at my results. This dry ice is no joke folks.
The 1st run through i used a bubble bag and a bucket. put the dry ice in the bucket with my 2.5 ounces of trim. I made sure no stems were in there so i didn't poke any holes through my bubble bag. while the dry ice sat with the trim, i sanitized a long mirror. then i began the shake down
got 8.8 grams of pure blonde kief :thumbs:
I ran the same trim through again through my kief box and got 7 grams of a pale green kief. Under the scope the green and blonde kief look the same but from a naked eye you can see the different grades just by noticing the color. Still very good stuff.
Here is the contrast of the 2 kiefs...you can tell the one on the left is blonder, from the 1st run through.
and here's what the trim and ice look like after 2 run throughs...also 5 pounds of dry ice was waaaay more than enough.
All in all almost 16 grams of kief from only 2.5 ounces of trim is well worth the time and effort. IT TOOK MINUTES! lol.
