Damn! Too much for me anymore, my gut can't handle it, but I still push it every now and then. Also still love making hot sauces for friends and family so I've got some Trinidad scorpions and Thai Bao Gong chiles growing

These are what I think I want to build eventually Altec 620 cabinets. Keep in mind that is a 16" woofer. Not as big as some of the Tannoy boxes, but big. 9cf?. 100DB/1watt

But I still have a lot of love for a TAD (Japanese high-end Pioneer) clone. I am thinking of getting a CNC for work. It would make it a lot easier than a router jig for this.

Instead of crossovers, I am thinking of DBX drive rack. There is a lot of money and time in building crossovers. I already have a mini dsp. But they say those drive racks are really easy. The Altec and the TAD are studio monitors. TAD Made giant studio monitors just like JBL as well.

Did I read that right chief? 100dB sensitivity??!!? Jesus, talk about making the most of an amplifier. I do not currently have a proper insane hifi. I have a sick ass sound bar that was $500, with a little 8” sub that sounds great, but it’s not what the cool kids would consider audiophile by any means.

Get this….a couple weeks ago I was gonna grab a certified Emotiva XMC-1 preamp/processor. It does 7.2 surround if need be, but I am much more interested in the 2 channel side. It can do full analog or it can rock the DSP and do Dirac Live. And it’s certified refurbished with a sick warranty for $1100…not bad considering it was almost triple that when they stopped selling em. I put it in the cart but didn’t pay for it….when I went back it was out of stock. That crazy sale came along and I done fucked up. That XMC would have been amazing and it’s the kind of gear that lapis pi’s a buy it and be done forever. Ima dummi.

I have fucked up like that myself. You know something else will come along. I don't get to hung up on not getting something anymore because I want to try different things. Something will always come up. Guys that are into surround sound are always turning them over got to have 13.2. I don't do multi-channel surround anymore. Sometimes I will add a sub. All two channel. The problem being I want to bi-amp my speakers. I was looking at a Parasound 5 channel power amp a A51 this guy is selling cheap. If you get a 2.1 system up and running the soundstage can be amazing for watching TV as well. I have four or five amps I am watching right now. Maybe I will get one of them, maybe I will wait. The Doctors have been taking all my money right now. Nothing serious but a lot of little shit. Fing my spending.

We’ve been without power here at the house since just after 2pm. Glad we have the propane grill and griddle to prepare food for the family. Just some quick olive oil and seasoning chicken breast along with potatoes n onions that went on the griddle. Get to eat under candlelight lanterns. Now if someone would cut off my foot I might feel better now not sure how I’m gonna make it till Wednesday surgery time with the way I’m feeling now
