It's been a bit of a hectic day...lol...but I think we are good. We are hanging out on the super cleaned back porch right now having a little smoke sesh. I am making some baked beans for tomorrow in a little bit...they are gonna be insane, I am doing bacon, maple, bourbon, and onions and gonna let em go for a couple hours.
I picked grapes and am making some kind of grape thing...that's not for the shower though, haha, that's for us. Check these beauties
That's the center of the bush. It is all growing in the lattice and goes 10 feet left and almost 20 feet right. I am just finishing up my beans, letting em tighten up for a half hour low simmer uncovered. I made maple, bourbon, bacon and coffee with some brown sugar, honey, apple cider vinegar and Worcestershire. They are nice and dark and will hopefully be outstanding in a dozen hours. I guess the weather is supposed to be great...which I hope, because it's raining with thunder and lightning at the moment.
I think I might do some Italian Sausage fest for supper possibly tonight. Making some slaw and a cake in the morning. Haven't made a pie yet, but I got the butter all frozen and chopped up and 240 grams of flour. One stick per cup is the golden ratio.
HOLY FUCK CHECK THIS OUT!!! So tomorrow is Bubble girl's younger sister shower. Their 2nd cousin apparently gave birth last night...and claimed to not even know she was pregnant!!! WHO DOES THAT?? Like no fucking way. At least she went to the hospital and stuff. Possibly even crazier is that their first cousin is gonna officially legally take it on Monday. It never ends.
And here I am with a level trying to get my grills all perfectly even for the charcoal fest. Haha. Different kind of problems I think.
This is my "Bacon Babysitter" doing no flip bacon. Perfect....low and slow.
This is what a sunset looks like when you take a photo and junk
I approve of nature sometimes. This is one of those times.
This is my satchel o grapes also known as the grapes of wrath. These go down easier than leading a lamb to slaughter. Whoda thunk it?
Pies and wrath....sounds like a good way to start a fucked up Saturday. Hey you guys...come have a beer and watch the hens peck the wine and crackers!! Doors open!!
