Mephisto Genetics DOUBLE GRAPE GROW OFF

oh yeah no doubt,i use a cup but its the same thing.slow pours in a slow circle when small and similar when lifting and trimming the lower leaves to get that free hand movement to water with a cup or whatever ya use.LOL! and once its watered slow and sunk it then you can(i can usually anyways) really go faster tilla small run off then let it soak for 5-10 mins then dump in your yard or on your plants is what I do outside.flowers n so on. lovely garden LOL!

Thanks. Seems like a sound technique.
And treat every plant differently. When you water make sure to give each plant it's own attention. They all drink differently in sure u know that but I didn't I was feeding then all the same and at the same time I stunted 3 of mine really bad. I talked to @Ripper and he told me the technique. He told me to water only the ones that needed it , place a golf tee in the ones I watered. Keep a journal so I remember and start to get a feel for each individual plants needs. I'm growing 9 plants and 2 different strains and am a total noobie. But with this technique I was able to get awesome results.

Watering/feeding is the process that many take for granted but in fact it's a really time-consuming and crucial thing.

I know I'm a noobie on the forum with not so many points and badges but I must say: I totally agree with what Mr.Ripper Mr.eyes say!
Those are crucial thing...
I too can say that fast and too frequent watering isn't good... and like Mr.atticassason says: give each plant its attention, don't do it like in a factory!! do it with passion, plants can feel that.

My style of watering is that I water/feed every 48-72 hours max when they are older every plant has its own plastic 2l bottle (so I know how many each plant gets) with 4-6 holes on the cap and I gently press the bottles and circle arround in my specific style, little by little :D ...and I know exactly when I can expect runoff..
This process can take me up to 2 hours with all the mixing/dividing and watering..
...or maybe it's just me being slow as f*** lol

in my early grows I asked my friend how come he doesn't get the run off after cca.1.5l he has poured in 16l pot and I do after like half a liter...he told me "do it slowly and gentle"...
and then It came up to me :) and this technique is the key to success!!...

Perfectly put

I use a simple moisture meter with a 12" probe to get to the bottom of the air pots. I let the pot fluctuate in moisture to promote root growth. Once the plants hit the stretch I lightly water every day. Nute, nute water nute nute water routine. I rarely allow run off to occur.

In a nut shell, tis how I do it....

Peace

Starting them off under some Mars Hydros. Promix, perlite, lime and Mykos in 5.5 gallon/21 liter air pots. I'll top off the pots in a few days.
