Grow Mediums Do any of you use the autopot aquavalve with your own trays and pots on there?

Thanks. I think that if I did the autopots I would likely do the autopot trays with my own reservoir and my own pots in the tray like put regular 3 gallon fabric pots in the autopot tray for it. The video on the maintenance that I watched was talking about taking the aquavalve apart then cleaning the valves with toothbrush and looked like a lot of work. Do you clean the valve between grows or how often do you do that part for it?

No point really in using a diy tray as the ones that come with autopots are relatively cheap and work really well. If you follow all instructions correctly you only have to clean everything once in between grows and the tank also once mid grow. It is easy and has made growing so automatic its almost boring now. The easy 2 grow system has the pots too close for cannabis. My sweet spot for autopots has been to buy the 4 to 6 autopot system (the 15l regular size) then switch all the buckets foe the 8.5l ones used in the easy to grow system. I find that 15l pots are simply too big and grow too big of plants for the space.
I agree .....i presently have 3 15l autopots in a 3x3....needed autopots in order to travel away from home for the past 2 months. I haven't been home much....plants are out of control, crowded tent because i didnt have the time to train them to keep them smaller. I guess the downfall of the pots are if you want to grow a variety of strains in a smaller tent then dont go with autopots....stick to 3/2/1 gallon pots or less....but then you have to be around to take care of them.

Thanks. Then you think the autopots watering system is worth it even if you only have like 2-3 plants in the tent on there?

I've run 2 autopots mixed in with lots of other pots that's what I'm running at the moment but you could fill every bit of space if you left them alone as autopot girls can grow huge and there as maintenance free as you can get .also I will be running 3 next go around

Thanks. Do you take the aquavalves out of the trays after each grow and clean them? What is your usual thing that you do to clean the watering system in the tent on there?

My grow went over 90 days on debris laden lake water and melted snow with zero plugging and easy cleaning after the grow. I put a pleated household filter element inside the reservoir, I didn’t use the standard autopot filters. As already mentioned, plan on plants growing big. :pighug:

Thanks. Why did you not want to use the autopot filter on there?
Because thay are too low capacity, and too coarse a filter. The household filter elements are cheap, have huge capacity, and filter to a far finer particle size than the autopot filters.
