Day 22

I added another CFL, turned on the 2' fluorescent tube and did a res change this morning. I said that I wasn't going to do any LST but I bent my own rules and I've ponytailed it for five to six hours for the past few days. I love the simplicity of this set up although I might be kicking myself in the ass in a month or so when it needs to be watered constantly. The CBD Crack is currently bagged and drying in the cabinet. Once that's done, she'll get a new home.

Day 25

All nestled into her new home.

Day 28

My original intention was to let it grow without any LST but at day 28 it's almost as tall as the CBD Crack that I just pulled at 72 days. Since vertical space is limited and I want to get the best possible yield, I decided to drop the scrog screen in place. Hand-watering isn't going to be as easy as I'd first planned since the screen is situated in such a way that I'll be unable to tip the contents of the res/jug directly into the container. I'll insert a length of PVC through the screen, drop in a funnel and feed from the top side. The AeroGarden has 4 Arkansas Traveler tomato plants starting.

Day 30 (Before haircut)

This is her 'feeding tube'. In order to open her up a bit, I trimmed away some of the inner-facing secondary fan leaves.
It slowed her down a bit but I think she's ready to take off again. I'm kind of wishing that I topped it at least once but
I had set out with the intentions of no topping and no LST. There's always next time.

Day 31 (After haircut)

If I ever got a hair cut this bad, I'd be wearing a baseball cap for at least a week or two.

I don't know why but this kind of reminded me of my childhood, when mum would use a basin over my head to cut my hair :crying::crying::crying:

Baseball caps definitely came to the rescue when I was a younone :pass:

Stay safe mate :bighug:

beautiful baby.:crying::crying:I have what I call a Covid cut. went out in the yard and chopped off all my hair. left myself with Bald spots all over my head.

Day 33

I had to modify the feed tube due to the fact that the placement of the inlet enabled water to occasionally splash/drip on some of the leaves. Having it out by the edge of the scrog frame makes it much easier for me to keep an eye on the water level gauge. When it's done draining, I can insert the end of the drain tube into the inlet.

Due to the late LST, I don't think I'll be tucking and weaving through the scrog screen in the normal fashion but the screen certainly makes for a nice anchoring point for further LST.

Day 34 (4/20)

It dawns on me that with the funnel hooked up to the feed tube that it looks like some sort of primitive urinal.

I'm feeding it as often as I can and while I wait for the container to drain I'm busy tucking, tying and pulling.
My new rule is remove no more one inner-facing fan leave per day. Ideally, I'd like to not remove any but sometimes it's gotta be done.

Day 37

Preflowers are setting in so I changed out the two CFLs. I ran into an issue with the carbon filter due to the mineral deposits left behind from not using RO or distilled water.. (I push air through it rather than pull through it) ..I gave it a good cleaning yesterday and have decided to leave the filter off until/if the smell becomes an issue. It vents into an adjoining room which has a nice draft that goes towards the attic. Just in case, I have a tyvec bag of zeolite hanging directly in front of the exhaust and an industrial grade negative ion generator set on a timer to go on and off every 15 minutes.

Some of the very new growth seemed to be twisted a little bit. I thought it might be the lights being too close but I searched around only to find out that it's common for this to happen when transitioning from veg to flower. For a strain that's Indica dominant, its leaves are very Sativa-ish.

I'm really liking this set up but the only draw back is the size of the drain on the container.
I won't use this container again and have come up with something similar that will drain much faster.
