Dinafem Dinafem Quick Kush & Quick Critical

28 days, and all the plants are doing great. Quick Critical is now in a DWC bucket, and has exploded in growth since. @Sleazyb still catching up on updates, but here are the Dinafem Quicks.

Quick Kush is also doing well, and has grown even bigger. I only topped the gals once, but I continue to LST them so they grow out. Her fan leaves are huge!

My apologies for the lag, for some reason I got confused and thought the journals were for the Cookies strains. My bad! I am really looking forward to seeing how these gals do as they go into flower. The gals are robust and happy :pass:thank you :toke:

Update for today, just put Quick Critical [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] into the 2x4 with QK [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG].Both are at day 44 from sprouting. I could have flowered the QK at day 30 but wanted an ideal spot for her. If I started her right in the DWC bucket I bet I could snug that time up even tighter.

Snapped a few pics tonight to show how happy these gals are; just gave them a feed and another helping of Heisenberg Tea. This tent is gonna be full with just two plants :woohoo1:

Can't wait to see how QK goes into flower with her training.

She's low and wiiiiiiiide. Her current roommate was moved into another tent to finish flowering, as she only has a few more days to go.

QC just got moved in tonight, snipped off two lower branches (may clone), bit of defoliation and snugged up her ties. She was a little on the slow side to start, but man did she ever rocket up and out in the last few days. I would not have wanted to wait any longer to get her switched to 12/12.

She will need more bottoming, but I like to wait a few days to see which shoots are more dominant and vigorous before I start snipping.

The gals together, as you can see she really caught up fast to her sister. I did not expect that at all and I'm glad to have them together to flower. QK on the left, QC on the right.

Bud shots, plant shots, but not many stem shots. Here's what I love to do, and the QK really responded well to it. She is pretty much where I need her, other than defoliation as needed and adjusting her ties. I will probably throw a net in to help in training, not a true SCROG so I won't call it that, just a tool I like to use to tame beasts especially when the flowers come on heavy.

Just for fun, here’s a shot of my new setup for this tent, looks like a spacecraft coming in for a landing :goauto:

Two 288 QBs turned down to 200w, will turn ‘em up when the plants acclimate. Two strip lights to catch the sides.

Hi Mark,

The Quick Kush is at day 12 of flower as of today, and Quick Critical is at day 9. QC caught up to QK very fast, as she was about half the size of QK hence why she is at a later day for flower. Yet she is flowering faster than QK, and is the same size now. Beastly. I expect with the difference in days they should finish about the same time according to the harvest date of the strains, keeping in mind DWC could extent this.
I will be taking clones from both of them tomorrow as I don't want to spend too much time having them reveg. So far I'm loving both these strains, they are fun to grow, are crazy in DWC and are not showing any issues with my heavy hand at training and feeding.

I'm not sure if I put my nutrient schedule in here, if not I'll post it up.

Thanks for stopping by! :toke:

Day 11 of flower for Quick Critical, day 14 for Quick Kush. It’s update time, and as you can see some defoliation. It’s not extreme, but it still feels weird to do it.

Quick Critical, she is not nearly as leafy so far less for her

:yoinks: Looks so stripped, and I hate leaving stumps but I’ve noticed that if I trim too close I’ve had some bud sites get damaged. So stumps it is.

Well look at QK just a couple days later she doesn’t look like I touched her. Except as with anytime I do a good defoliation, the plants seem to love it and “pray” to the light.
Or maybe they are begging for mercy :smoking:

Did QC get bushier after??? :crying:

Lol I like the term "stumps" for that type of defoliatiom. I've always thought praying was a good sign as well.

Ps. They look great!

Ugh, stumps :crying:I was always told/taught never to leave them on any plant, always make a nice, clean cut. But in this case I noticed a few bud sites expired after, which is worse (think it was too close a cut and the tissue death spread to the bud sites that were too small to handle it). Also in topping, not leaving a stump sticking up had my plants splitting right down the middle when I LST'd them. Feck that!

Thank you for the kudos, they are starting to form buds now so hopefully next update will be of them going into true flowering, and after that the stacking :woohoo1:

I saw a write up on this, I think it was called "leaf rise" and on this site but I cannot for the life of me find it again no matter what I type into the search. Google? Nothing there either. It is a mystery but I have heard it is good
