Whatever the wife leaves me
So seeing @hairyman challenge of the sog grow, thought it would be interesting to see just how inexpensive I could grow a plant. @Dinafem were nice enough to provide the seed but this would be £6 normally. I went with an eBay Chinese 50w cob and driver with a UK made heatsink. This cost £12 including a few bits. My pot is a 2.5 litre water bottle with a few holes. Going to get my soil and nutes later today. I am using my nursery cabinet which is an old cabinet so free. It's heated with CFL bulbs which I use for lower lighting of plants - cost £7. Lining of grow space is thermal runners blankets 2 for £2. Waiting on these to be delivered. I got an old bath fan for extract £10. And a smelly for the vent to disguise smell for £1. So am at £38 so far.

So pot filled with recycled compost, and bought my fertilizer for £4.50. vermiculite and coir was £1. I still have £5.50 ($8) left in the budget. Also put in my lucky free worm (unlucky for him lol) The flower and veg nutes has magnesium in it so hopefully will be enough.

My £1 each vermiculite and Coco coir from poundland which I forgot to add to the post. The Coco even comes in its own expansion bag, cool. I will get about 40 grows out of this lot lol.

Day 1 - 4 days from soaking in my lucky mug. She is out of the ground, hope she is going to be happy with the Poundland grow she is about to endure.

Soft side pots are a pain, they round off and the soil level drops, just going with cheap plant pot next time. I had money left but wanted to save it for magnesium if needed. Wish I had bout a pot for 50p, I like to take them out and water them and this will be difficult with this homemade pot.
