Dialing In MEGA CROP for Auto's

Just so we are clear on this regardless to the version of the MC the PH going in is based on the growing medium. Hydroponics 5.8, Coco 6.1 and soil 6.5.
Do you recommend adjusting pH If growing in healthy soil, feed with MC and avoid supplements with salts or affecting pH?

I am currently doing pretty good using 2-part MegaCrop base in BioBizz Light soil using common East Coast tap water, minimal supplements and never check, much less adjust, the pH. So not adjusting pH with MC can be done. But am I just lucky? What am I missing by not adjusting pH? Theoretically, with living soil, balanced nutes and OK water shouldn't there be no need to adjust feed pH?

I know this isn't the infirmary, yet it is experienced MC growers, so I'm dropping this here. This is my second indoor grow with MC 1 part, 3rd indoor grow total. I used MC this summer outdoors for autos and photos with great results.

Yes your just lucky so far. if your using Megacrop your using salts. A salt is the ionic from of an element and the salt is the same whether organic or not.
Your soil is no longer strictly organic once you introduce a raw mineral and element nutrient like Megacrop. And how do you know your water is ok without testing it? My water tests fine for human consumption, yet it kills cannabis plants! I have to use RO water. For all you know, with the content of your tsap water, you could even be over feeding your plants, because without testing you have no clue. The only time you can get away with not testing is a purely organic grow feed nothing but water. Sooner or later you'll have a PH issue because even your plants alter the PH of there environment and make it more acid. So if your plants suddenly look like someone took a torch to them, you'll know why.

did you PH test the slurry? And yes, that ppm is low. Feed every watering. %80 is fine, I keep mine between 500-575 ppm and feed every watering. I keep the solution PH between 6.4 and 6.5, but I grow in soil Your PH should be lower as your growing in peat, keep it between 6.1 and 6.3. You may have a combined problem of too little nutrient and too high PH.

Yep, slurry test on both pots. Ph is 6.2 and only 48ppm which says to me seriously underfed. Maybe I'll not skip any feedings from here on out at those ppm's of 550 to 570. The breeder told me to keep nutrients to a minimum, so I have. I guess too low though

Thanks Pop

Perfect thanks. Thats probly where i went wrong with my other probes. Whats the correct way to store it? Juat filled the plastic cap with solution amd put it back on or leave the probe in a glass with storage solution?

My apera ph60 actually came with a little flask of the storage soultion, so no need to buy extra really.

Pop22 just to be clear FOR ME the 500-575 PPM is for the MC only ?

I believe it can be applied to most nutrients blends. I got the idea to go easy from HygroHybrid on youtube. He runs RDWC and for years he's kept his ppms to 650 in hydro, and this guy grows monsters every grow. And it depends on much much light you have too. When I ran burple lights, I I had a RQ Super Sliver Haze go N toxic at 450 ppms! I think it may be a learning curve with each brand but will likely be close to my parameters.

I upped my stock solution to 25 Tbsp to 1 quart of water. 3 Tbsp of solution gave me 530ppms, right where I want it! Now with the older formulas, the solution grew weaker as towards the end of the bottle, though not terribly so. I think this version suspends better in a concentration, we'll see. I just find it convenient this way. I can shake it up, dump three tablespoons into my water, stir and test.
