Dialing In MEGA CROP for Auto's

I’m noticing magenta edge spots appearing on my yellowing fan leaves on the tops of two of my three plants. The third plant looks relatively healthy. All three are budding up decently enough so far.

Any idea if I should make a change to the MC in the autopots? Quick summary - coco/soil/perlite, newest 8/20 version of MC @ -500 ppm + PK boost at -20 ppm, pH at 6.1 and 6.2. I’m at day 59 on these two.

My first thought is to add MC back to 540ish PPM and see how they do. That leaf tip curling makes me antsy above 550, which it was at briefly before I diluted to 520. Does that seem reasonable or am I missing something else here?
These are the same plants in the infirmary? These poor plants are a science experiment. I think you went wrong from the very beginning mixing soil, coco and perlite. Only you and the Ganja angels know what has gone into that pot. I do not give up on very many plants but I am past my ability to help. The important thing is you have learned a lot from this experience and your next grow will be better.

Yup. And yes they are. Don’t forget that I also over calmag’d them to hell for the first month. I’m already planning on just coco/perlite next time, which will let me target the coco ph and actually baseline MC more realistically.

Lots learned so far! In the interim I’m just trying to get these girls across the finish line and then discover all I’ve yet to learn about drying and curing.

EDIT:

No reason to ad PK.

There is absolutely no reason to ad any PH to Megacrop. Check you runoff ppm and PH, looks like a PH issue causing lockout to me and the PK could be making it worse

I figure it’s either that, or the ph >6.0 is locking out manganese, which makes yellowed leaves with brown spots, at least according to growweedeasy.

Mg and Ca issues don't show up until 10-14 days AFTERE the issue began and correcting such issues takes time also. Ditch the PK drop your ppms to 500 for a week and see how they do.

Please let us know how this works for you. I'm in exactly the same situation, with a bit heavier coco in the mix. I "flushed" my over-epsomed plants a week ago, then recalibrated to about 530 ppm MC + a little PK boost. Still at about 6.1-6.2, and I'm also considering a small bump to 6.4. It's probably a bit late for that, and my girls are budding up nicely so it may be a better experiment for me next go around. Here's pics of my 3 girls a week after recalibrating the MC (v3? from Sept 2020), with no added cal or mag at 530ish ppm, with about 30 ppm being PK boost.

And with all the issues you've had, there is probably no fixing this, the best you can hope for is some recovery at best

here are some of my current plants. Even the small ones got 535ppms of MC new one part.

@pop22 I have been all over this thread and have seen mentions of stock solution. I wanted to ask a few questions if you do not mind.

How do you store your stock solution? Do you just leave it out, covered, at room temp? I am running 4 plants in a perpetual tent so some are getting BE/SC and some not. How long would a solution last in a container? Is there a recommended way to do this without a res? I get really tired of mixing 4 gallons of nutrients a day!

This is more geared towards growing in coco now... I have been following the feeding calc on green leafs site and I am way overusing my nutes as pointed out to me by @Proph in another thread. I was hoping to get yall's (and anyone else's) opinion on how to proceed. I know I need to flush pretty heavily, any advice on the best way to lower my runoff ppms dramatically? After that, in flower, should my goal be 500-600ppm? If I am using MC, SC, and BE do you have a recommended dosing of it? Is it pointless to run SC in coco or are the extra aminos and minerals still being utilized?

Thanks guys! Any other advice or tips would be much appreciated!

My idea of a stock solution is rather un-scientific lol but it works for me to simplify making solution. First I mix 24 Tbsp. of MC to 3/4 of a quart of water in whatever jar you have have that holds a quart and has a cover to use as a shaker. I use a coconut oil jar. I shake it up good a pour it through a funnel into an empty cal/mag bottle or a 1 quart milk jug. Add enough water to make a full quart.

Before use, shake the bottle real good then quickly measure 2 Tbsp of concentrate into your 5 gallon bucket of water. In my RO water that brings me up to 400 ppms +. You need to adjust measurement to your water. I'm currently using about 2 3/4 Tbsp to get about 530 ppms. once you figure out what your mix tests out to you know how much to use each time. A quart makes me.... about 150 gallons of solution. When my tents are full i go through 5-7 gallons a day of nutrient solution

Always check your solution PPM / EC.

In response to how much BE or SC to use.
I have used both in combination with MC.
I start my mix at 500ppm(w/mc).
Then top up to 600 with SC in veg.
And top to 600ppm with BE in flower.
My advice would be to drop both SC &BE.
Or at least use what you have left.
Then use only MC, start to finish.
500ppm from early seedling to 550ppm by and through flower.
