Dialing In MEGA CROP for Auto's

Maybe ok but watch for signs of lock-outs.
Will do, but I am going to switch back over to using Epsom Salt to see if I can turn things around and have a decent finish.
Didn’t realize BE had both Mg/S as well.

For Harley’s chart, is that the tolerance range first with the ideal target elemental ppm in the parentheses? 400ppm seems very high for S

Yeah I noticed that right after I posted. Your on top of it.
I don’t have much experience but go light with the SC & BE. Also from my experience the less MC 1 part I used the better. Just finishing a run not going over 3g a gallon. But I was using RO water with added calmag and epsom salt.

Cool man. I actually have an RO unit on the way. It wasn’t specifically purchased for plants, but I might give it a go using only RO water next run to see if that helps the situation at all.
Even though I have low base ppms, our water has a fair amount of dissolved organics (tannins) that stain the water and I always wondered if it affected the plants. I would think that it would help the plants if anything but not sure of the chemistry/biology there.

Harley's chart gives you the range with the overall minimum and maximums for most plants but the recommended maximum for cannabis is in the brackets.

Tannins in and of themselves are not a problem. They will lower PH but not usually anything to be concerned about.

Some of you with high ppm well water might find this interesting.

Mine is ~500. I wasn't sure how this would affect the MC recommended feeding rates.

I'm using ProMix HP in 3 gallon fabric bags with a 600w MH/HPS (parabolic reflector) in a cobbled together 4 x 4 x 4 high enclosure inside a 10 x 10 room

Seeds from autoflower dot ca, 2x Gelato, a King Gelato, Gorilla Glue #4 and a Purple Silverback.

My bale of ProMix HP was at least eight months old and when I opened it I wasn't surprised to find it was quite dry.

I pre wet it with 1 g of MC in 2.5 L of ph'ed water. 650 ppm.

Seeds were germinated fully in distilled water. 36 hours later tap roots ranging from 1/8" to 1/2".

BTW > seeds were not impressive, small and green. No mottling at all. But they all popped.

Into yogurt containers and under an 85 CFL bulb.

Slowly increased to 740 ppm. My "grow" room was in use until transplant at about three weeks, sigh...

Past time too, roots were spiraling on the bottom of the containers.

My last watering two days ago was at their recommended 2.65 g for 2.5 L of water.

I've noticed a general greening up and five days past transplant the expected vigorous growth.

This is today watering with the recommended amount. Day 30.

Back two are the Gelato's, left front is the King Gelato which I topped, right front is Gorilla Glue #4 and the middle is the baby Purple Silverback.

I'm almost starting to think she was hungry. She is the only one with yellow bottom leaves.

Front two are ~ 10" high.

For now I am going to continue with their feeding schedule..

Cheers

Update >

A week ago there was an interesting discussion on another forum, a member was talking to a ProMix rep and he emphatically stated there is no need to ph the water with ProMix HP !

I decided to give it a go and in the last week my girls have had four waterings with MC and NON ph'ed water.

It is now day 37 and I'm being conservative (for a change) and am @ 4g/gal.

The back Gelato has grown 2" in the past 24 hours, she is now 21" tall :cooldance:

Her last watering included .67g of Bud Explosion in 3 L of water.

So in terms of balance with MOG spreadsheet do you think the .5 of epsom would be needed? Thanks for the quick response POP
