Not bad at all.. drying and curing are to of the most important parts of the grow. But they are also the easiest. Dry in a dark place that had some airflow. If you have the tent space just shu the lights of and hang in there. Everyone has there own trimming deal. If you can. Wet trim the auto and hang it whole. Just has a better dry. Mine took 5 days. You know when it's ready cause you bend a stem and you hear a snap but it doesnt break. And I cure in Mason jars. Burp them twice a day for the first week. Then every could days for a couple weeks. Do a bit if research online . I'm sure you can get more direct info. Remember to store your jars in a cool dark areas that doesn't get sunlight. And remember that in drying and hangin you bud is gona have a hay smell. Dont stress that. The weed smell will come back when you cure!!. CheersOk thanks for the response @Whitetrash . I will grab something today. Not bad for my first ever plant! I am intimidated thinking about the harvest / curing process. But i better not get ahead of myself.
What he said!! Lookin good. You have done a great job @DevilDog_0651! LST Master should be your new name! LOL
Determining when to harvest is a judgement call I make based on trichome coloration which of course you know since that's where you are now. The trich's start out shiny, clear and glassy, then I watch for them to turn cloudy like a plastic milk jug. The trich's will then start turning amber, but they start to lose potency as they get overly amber or too "ripe". I like to harvest my plants when they are all cloudy and just a few here and there show signs of amber coloration. I aim for 10-15% amber after she has turned all milky.
I tried several devices to view trich's, but my favorite is a 30x/60x LED lighted lupe I bought on Amazon for $8. I always view the trich's on the calyx of the bud finding them a better reference than the trichomes on sugar leaves and pistils.
