Devil Dog's first grow Progress

Nevermind, searched on youtube, i should be able to transplant

I think most folks suggest up-planting a couple of times so there is a lesser amount of soil which reduces the tendency to over-water. Conversely, auto plants have a short life and short recovery times, so multiple up-plants is not often suggested for autos. I start an auto in a solo cup, then up-plant in the final home...so I am limiting my plant's shock exposure.

Now you realize your plant is actually a photo, this opens the door for up-plant opportunity. Some folks use smallish containers even for larger sativa photo plants. I realize you want to transplant, and by all means follow your inclination to put the plant in a larger container. Conversely, you may not get a huge yield increase based on the current size and age of the plant....but then again you may. There's always risks when you transplant, and if all is good as is, you may want to carefully evaluate the risks.

@Stone420 should i do some more LST to create some more seperation from each top? Or does this look ok?

I think i am going to pot up to a 5 gallon fabric, just to give the roots some more space. I may try cutting the bag off and just lifting it into the new pot, but i haven't quite decided yet.

I'm not
Thanks you all for your posts! So i originally believed this to be an auto, but it's a photo. I have her in a 3 gal fabric pot (11.3 liter for the metric folks). I realize it would do better in 5 gal as its going to be fairly large. I am assuming it's too late to transplant?[/Q I'm not 100% but my personal opinion is that you shouldn't. When you use fabric pots the roots grow through the fabric and get air pruned. So I would assume that you already have that going on and that you could risk damaging the roots by pulling them out. Once again not 100% sure. But that's what makes sense to me.

Half my message didn't load. I'm not 100% on this but when you use fabric pots the roots push through and get air pruned . Wich I would assume your plant is already doing. so I would think that by removing the plant from the pot would pose a risk of damaging your roots. Once again not 100% but that's 2hat makes sense to me

I guess that makes sense. Should i be seeing the roots pushing through? So much information overload lol. I guess maybe i will stick with this one. I just hope it doesn't get root bound.

I'm not sure if the roots push all the way through. There small though so you likely wouldn't notice. But like I said. That answer is more of an opinion than anything else. Maybe see what info you can find on the ol intranet

I use fabric pots and sometimes I’ll see them push through but not a lot and sometimes not at all. I don’t think you’ll benefit much at this point to upsizing your pot. It looks like your plant is doing well from here, let her buck!!
