Dehumidifier drain questions

A few quick questions. Does a garden hose use standard piping thread? Instead of using a garden hose to drain can I use a quick connect to go to 3/8 vinyl hose to pass through an existing hole in the wall? I would have about 3 foot of drop in the first 6 foot of hose followed by about 6 more horizontally. Will it drain ok?

No, Garden hose is garden hose thread GHT 3/4 inch flat thread (not tapered) to go to Pipe thread you need an adapter. You need 1/4 inch drop per running foot for water to run on gravity.

Perhaps, not all quick connect systems are compatible.
