Defoliation

I would at least pull some of the middle fans and try and open it up in the center otherwise the parts of the lower buds not getting light will now be as solid and it will also trap moisture there. I personally would probably take 20 to 30 leaves off. But that is me.

IMHO, with correct pruning and only having the one plant with so much light and space around it you don’t have to remove many branches (lollipopping) and won’t end up with larf.
Unfortunately I have 2 other plants in the tent. Just pulled them out to get a better shot of the FR… also got a wedding glue and PB cookies I’m running as well ..

I'm curious if your runtz is the same as mine.
If you rub the stems or stalk on mine, they give off a horrid smell, like toxic anus.....but the buds themselves smell like sweet fruity heaven lol

I just find it funny and odd that the stems make my hands stink like the worst thing ever but the buds smell so damn beautiful. Is yours the same??

So the stock and stems do smell like cheeks but I agree the buds smell heavenly kinda weird

I did some heavy defoliating and some of mine didn't take to well...it was doing great now has brown spots all over all the top leaves on every cola...here's some pics...I followed a thread on defoliating on here....others are doing ok. I removed 1 pound 8.9 oz of leaves and some lower branches....do what you feel is right..my opinion. Only do a little every few days...so you don't shock your plant...this is my first grow...and I did my gg#4 a little at a time and they did well....hope this helps...I'm going to follow manogreen advice with my next plants...only in late flower....I did 8 plants total... The brown spots started the next day after I defoliated my monster....lol

There were some bottom branches that should have been pruned but I don't think your plant needed to be defoliated. Branches that don't reach the canopy are removed on my plants.

Defoliation isn't necessary, doesn't improve yields, and is more of a mechanical method to inhibit pest, pathogens, and disease. High yield of 50+ grams per sqft are possible without removing leaves. I had a situation like yours occur where I defoliated during the stretch but my tap water was so bad that grow that I ended up with a lockout that yellowed all my leaves before I even hit week 6. It really isn't something necessary to do and when it is, a lot of excess biomass can be removed by bottom pruning anything that is thin or not reaching the canopy.

Defoliation isn't the reason your having issues but it certainly didn't help.

I doubt the brown spots on the leaves are a result of defoliation. You might see plants that might have droopy leaves prior to defoliation but they always end up straitening out after after a few hours or by the next day. IMHO the imperfections on your leaves look more like a nutrient or PH problems.
