New Grower Deckards 1st Grow, 2x GSC Auto - Outdoor

I think they need more food. I've never done soil, so I don't know how to measure root ph. @Vlad The Inhaler Pretty please? We really need your help, muddy MoB.

I spoke to @moutros as he is also an outdoor, terrace, soil grower in the same part of the world as me. He suggested to stick with water as the soil I'm using is quite strong.
Either way they don't look happy, and me either .... I was thinking of starting again with some more seeds I have but no idea what I would do differently next time

Give them a little more time. If the new growth is healthy just keep them going.

Hey-hey!

Allmix is heavily ferted.. I've used it on and off for years and I never feed anything until the roots have filled the pot.

Here's what I'd do... Put them in a nice big pot each, full of glorious mud.. [emoji200], water them once to damp it all, then leave them alone in the sun, no domes, no shade.

Wait til the pots feel light before you give them a good drink again, but a little drizzle to keep the top of the soil moist won't hurt.

Don't overthink it with the Allmix dood.. It's as easy as a drop or two of water for now.

It's exactly as vlad said transplant them in their final pot the way i described in our chat, water them to losen the roots, lose the dome and put them in the sunniest spot, dont move them in the shade ever and they will be fine.

yes they are outdoor in soil and have been since the beginning. They only had nutes once, at 10% strength of the indicated solution strength on the bottle, it worked out to 1 drop of feed per 250ml of water. i always check the ph of the water is at 6. The air temperature is around 27 degrees C, they have been getting a few hours direct sun in the morning and again in the afternoon, for the strongest part of the day they are in the shade.
How do i check if the root system is in that range ?
You check the ph of the soil itself.

If they are in pots, I think you test the run off water or buy a ph pen that test the soil.

To be fair, if you have been watering with ph'd water, chances are it is OK.

Thanks for the advice guys. Dome is gone, they are out in the sun and they won't be moving. Will repot as soon as I see a root come out of the bottom. They will only be getting water. Also my ppm meter should be here in a few days so hopefully that will help

hey deckard - sorry to read about your problems. i had a similar thing a little while ago. i think (as has been suggested by smarter people than me on here) that it might be excessive nutes. mine was similar. tips and bits of the leaves were getting a bit brown and dry. this happened after i'd given them a little bit of formulex - what i didn't take into account was all the prexisting nutes in the soil i was using. i knocked off the nutes and they began to look a bit better.

these things are sent to try us my friend! best of luck. sure all will be well in the end.
