New Grower Deckards 1st Grow, 2x GSC Auto - Outdoor

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg Here are some photos taken last night. I took some to show the massive damage the thrips are doing. Not sure if I should cut off the leaves that are totally fucked. Gave them water and nutes last night with mosquito dunks mixed into it.

im
Oh man, that's heartbreaking. Do the thrips attack the buds as well as leaves? Little buggers

im not sure to be honest, there is so much contradictory information on the internet. Some say they attack the buds, other says just the leaves, others say as soon as you harvest they just drop off as the plant is "dead". Also, DHL called me today to say that the monteray spray has been seized by customs and they are not letting it in (after DHL lost my first order of it). Pissed off. Going to a big growshop the other side of town to see if they have anything they can help me with.

Went to the growshop and got this spray. The woman in the shop said it was really strong. Gave them a good dose a few days ago and I've not seen any since. I also cut off the worst affected leaves. I'll keep a look out for the thrips and give them another spray in about 5 days, the bottle says once a week.

So i gave the plants a heavy dose of the spray and since then ive not seen a single thrip and i cant see any fresh damage. This spray along with the mosquito dunks seems to have done the trick....surely it cant be that easy.
Today i also received the montery garden spray with spinosad. Its been a saga with DHL telling me twice its banned in spain and it had been sent back to the USA (fucking DHL idiots), well to cut a long story short for anyone in spain reading this, i had to go to customs and show them my ID, they said a normal citizen cannot import it, you have to be a business or a farmer or something like that. The customs people let me have it anyway so i guess they must have liked me. I would not have bothered as it was a massive hassle and i now have no thrips, but amazon had refunded me the money, so it cost me nothing in the end (apart from time)
The GSC are still tiny but i started to flush them last friday. I just took some macro shots of some of the buds (below) They are really open and not dense at all. They smell great. Im guessing ill get about 7g total yield. Not much but its my first time and i fucked up. My auto lemon is doing much better, ill take some pics at some point. Main thing is the thrips seem to have gone (ive got some non autos so i was worried about them too)

Spoke to soon, just went to flush the gsc and saw some bastard thrips, gave them a spray of spinosad and will see how it goes. Also I'm struggling with heat stress again. The last few days have been 33-35c with no real wind or anything, the plants are not happy, lots of leaves curling up and browning, moved them to the shade but not much I can really do about it

Boy sounds like you have my luck I wish you all the best some smoke is better then no smoke.
You have did good having it all throwed at you I would pull my hair out with delivery like that or the hard time you have getting stuff.
I'm new to this and just thought anyone could order and receive goods in this day and time I also did not count in customs I'm spoiled I guess.
I have ordered cloth's jewelry with no problem but boy they hit my seed order. I hope all works out if anyone can do it you can!

I hope your luck improves mate. I don't know much about thrips, but imagine they'll have eggs that hatch every so many days, so you might need to spray them every now and then to eradicate completely. I've been dealing with heat issues too

I might give them another spray in 4 days, they have about 9 days left and I don't want to spray them too much, it says you can use the spinosad right up until harvest but obviously I'd rather not
You can also buy sticky tape from a garden centre that they stick to
