New Grower Dark Devil auto grow, Roots Organic, Amare SE300

She looks a little unhappy, I think. Maybe pH is off or over feeding/watering. What I'm seeing is a general claw under to the leaves and I think bumps on leaves towards the tips. Seems I see those bumps when input pH verys? I've never analyzed roots organics before it may not be optimum pH to start?

You could run this plant in the infirmary for some expert advice.

I probably should, my other plant is in there now.
Soil pH is 6.8 right now, I watered it yesterday. It hasn't gotten any nutrients yet just pH'd to 6.5 tap water

So it sounds like from what you're telling me that that soil wasn't very good soil. At least not without some extra amending. If you've been feeding nothing but pH water at 6.5 and you got a soil pH of 6.8 you probably started off with a soil PH above 7 and that's probably what's been giving you the difficulty during this grow. When I was growing with soil I used to buy those test kits that you had to dry out and granulate your soil then you put it in distilled water and then check the the color of the solution and then I found a lot of soils aren't close to 6.5.

So I think what happened is you started with the soil that was too high in pH and it was too hot in nitrogen. For your next grow if you stick with that soil I would look at doing some amending and getting the pH set correct before you go. Probably find something very mild to mix in with it since it seems to be a little hot or do some layering as a lot of Growers on here do.

That all makes sense to me, thanks. I did mix in about 20% perlite with the Roots soil. The soil pH tester is a fairly new acquisition for me but I will be testing my soil before I plant my next seed.
Should I just lower my water pH on it's next watering? Still to early to give it any nutes.

Quick update. She’s still a slender girl. Anyone have any opinions on her leaves? They look a odd to me and some small brown spots.

Rust colored spots are usually calcium, unfortunately most calcium Solutions have nitrogen also. If you can find a Cal/mag solution without nitrogen that would be best for feeding. Since I think you've already got plenty of nitrogen in your soil.

You can also used boiled egg water it's full of calcium. If you crush up the shells after and boil again for longer you can get even more calcium from the shells.

Wow great info, thanks. Since I won’t have any idea how much calcium is in the water I’d make how many eggs, how much water would I give to the plant?

I just use my boiled egg water in with my water whenever I boil a couple of eggs. But with a deficiency you may want to crush them up and steep for 10 minutes. Which will take care of that. As you can tell not an exact science lol
