New Grower Dark Devil auto grow, Roots Organic, Amare SE300

Ok thanks. I actually have a ppm meter coming today.
Should I wait till it’s due for its next watering or just go ahead and do it today even though I watered yesterday?
Wait till the next feeding Bud... you dont want to wash away the nutes or overwater.

Pretty sure I figured out my issue. The well water I’ve been using reads 720ppm. I knew it wasn’t great and it goes through a small filter. I’d assume this has been an issue for my grows. Glad I’ve never drank it, ha.
I’m switching to distilled water for now. Probably put in a RO system at some point

Wow. And I thought my tap water was high. Never seen that high before

I have the same thing, I had to go to reverse osmosis water to grow reliably. I did grow okay when I was repotting my plants regularly to avoid the salt buildup from my water, but that is really a hassle.

Glad I’m not the only one. Which RO system did you end up buying? Seems to be tons options at a variety of prices. Not sure how much I have to spend to get a good one.

It's really about a combination of how much water the RO system can treat and how big your storage tank is. My system is rated at 75 gallons per day if you have total dissolved solids of 150. But I have total dissolved solids up around 700 so I only get about 20 gallons of water a day. That's in a 24-hour period. So what I have is a 14 gallon storage tank and I pump 5 gallons out at a time and save it in my reservoir to transfer to my grow room.

So what you have to look for is a system that will function well with that high of a total dissolved solids. It may be a better option if available just to hire a service that brings you around 5 gallon jugs of water. They don't cost that much in my area and if you're growing a small garden that might be okay.

So I gave it full water this morning. I used distilled water since my well water is so bad. 1ml calmag, no nitrogen, 1/4 dose of FF Big Bloom, ph'd to 6.6. Run off ppm'd at 912 and ph'd at 6.4.

Sorry bro only just seen this, yeh by opening the bag giving it a light water and leave it somewhere walm help kick start beneficial bacteria in the soil
