So I do t know what I'm gonna do with this Pineapple Express. I'm hitting it hard with bloom nutes right now but it still won't stop stretching. It's putting on 2-3 inches a day and I'm going to run out of room if it doesn't stop soon. Any suggestions to shock it into full flower?
here's the tree, still trying to reach for the sky.
I count 42 main and side branches on her. That doesn't include the main cola or any of the smaller side branching up by the budsites. If this thing actually fills in with buds then I'm not gonna be able to grow again for two years. She's not just tall, she's tall and THICK
So I just installed a/c for my grow due to changing seasonal weather. I've been doing some research on temp and humidity trying to get my space dialed in. Does anyone run their grow by VPD chart? How do you adjust your temps and RH between veg and flower. What differences do you run between lights on and lights off?
Well I had to Google that VPD chart first I ever heard of that. I run my light 24/7 just so I can have that nice environment control. So my flower room is rock solid 80 degrees and the relative humidity is 36%. I just finished up a big fat budded Durban Poison and I was a little bit worried about mold, so 36% relative humidity made me real happy.
I've been running my lights at 18/6. with the house vent it was 81 at 65-75% RH. With the new unit I installed I have a lot mare adjustability. Right now I'm running them at 77 with 50-55% RH. I've seen people running down into the 30s at low temps all the way up to 70-80% at 80-90F. Seems everyone has different ideas of how it should be set up. The VPD concept seems logical to me. I'm wondering if I should be running lower temps with lights off though.
Well I'll have to research that VPD chart before I can make any comments on it. But I can tell you I think it's a good idea to keep your temperature difference between lights on and lights off as close as you can possibly get, that will also keep humidity stable.
I've always been happy with humidity between 40 and 60% unless I'm in late flower and then I like to be about 40 or even a little lower like I am right now.
Ok so i'm having a difficult time now with the lights off temps. my temps go from 77-79 during lights on down to 65-66 with lights off. I think this is too much of a temp swing, even with the A/C shutting down at lights off. I don't want any more stretch anyways so i'm going to run 24/0 from here on out at 77-79 and around 50% RH. I may try and dehumidify further once pineapple gets along in flower just to make her frost up. i think we'll be good where we are at for now though. I also did some defoliation on pineapple today to get some of that light down into her canopy. She is just exploding everywhere with bud sites. I have big hopes for her!
